The treatment philosophy of this component isbased on the premise that excessive alcohol useand/or chemical dependency is not only abiological, psychological and social concern, butalso a spiritual issue.Substance abuse often presents layers of healthissues, relationship damage and spiritualseparation that require more than a bandaid.This department seeks to address these issuesfrom a spiritual perspective with proven andeffective counseling intervention techniques.The mission of the Spiritual Advisory Departmentis to provide adjustment assistance, withemphasis on basic spiritual questions by theclient, prior to assigning a primary counselor.Bishop Brock maintains an ongoing relationship asa consultant to the primary counselor throughoutthe client’s treatment experience.

Bishop Brock serves as one of theAssistant Pastors of the Peniel PraiseCommunity Church.

In addition to having pastored one of his denomination'slargest congregations, Bishop Brock has served as pastor inTennessee, Mississippi, and Ohio. While pastoring inTennessee, he also served as chaplain of the TennesseeState Legislature.

He has been the featured speaker in large meetings,conferences and city-wide crusades throughout the UnitedStates. He was honored as the keynote speaker for hisdenomination's General Assembly, where over 16,000delegates gathered. He was also invited to the White Houseto meet President Jimmy Carter.

Bishop Brock serves as a member the Peniel PraiseCommunity Church pastoral team as well as anadministrator for the Peniel Residential Program. Hisextensive background in helping people to cope with andovercome personal obstacles has enabled him to make atremendous impact in the lives of the staff, the clients, thechurch and the community.

A wing of the Peniel facility has been dedicated to him forhis tremendous contribution to the Body of Christ.
