Dear All Festive season is round the corner. I extend my heartiest good wishes to the students, parents, staff and the stakeholders of the school. I also congratulate the students for their remarkable achievements in CBSE Science Exhibition at regional level and showcasing their performance at National level. I congratulate the students for making mark at CBSE cluster (Athletics) and securing 3 gold medals and wish them good luck for their success at National level competition. Our students have proved their ability in academics, sports and cultural activities at various stages.
This is all possible due to coveted efforts of the hardworking, dedicated & sincere members of the team of the school. I have firm conviction that the school will set many more milestones in days to come in every sphere. I really appreciate the creative efforts of the members of the editorial board for bringing out the e-Newsletter timely & creatively. At the end I wish a very happy and prosperous Diwali to all. On 14 August 2013, TCDAV Public school Babrala held the Investiture Ceremony to swear in the senior and junior student council members and Prefectorial Board 2013. On this fine morning a Havana was performed for seeking Infinite wisdom. Principal Mr. Jagdish Singh administered the oath to newly appointed prefects. Shouldering the responsibility of leading the school from the front with commitment, confidence and competence school Head Boy Aviral Bhatnagar received school flag along with Head Girl Arushi Yadav, Vice Head Girl Medha Kar and Vice Head Boy Deepanshu Varshney and other council members. All these students pledged to uphold the traditions and values of the institution and perform their duties with utmost sincerity and dedication.
Come Independence Day and every heart begins to resonate with the feelings of ‘Glory be to Mother India’ and ‘East or West, India is the best’. Like every year, the 67

Independence Day of the country was celebrated with immense patriotic zeal and fervor in Tatachem D.A.V. Public School Babrala. The Chief Guest on this occasion was Mr. S. Bhaskar Kumar, Chairman of the school and Vice-President (Manufacturing) of TCL. Along with Principal Mr. Jagdish Singh, Mr. G.K. Rao, Assistant Vice President (Operation) he unfurled the National flag at 8:30 a.m. followed by National Anthem. In his address on this occasion, Mr. Kumar extended his greetings to all and paid a glowing tribute to all those brave children of Mother India who sacrificed their all for her freedom. He underlined the contribution of the TATA Group in the economic development of the country and expressed his happiness at the achievements of the school in every field. After his address, Mr. Kumar observed the parade of the School’s NCC squad and the Security Unit of TCL.
Miss Nandini and Adarsh Chaudhary were given the Best Cadet Award while Miss Shruti Gautam and Vaibhav Tomar were given the Best Commander Award. The brave jawans of TCL Security were also awarded on this occasion.
There was also a brief but vibrating cultural programme. The patriotic songs, solo and group dances, dance drama, skit on safety issues, tower making and the action song of tiny tots resonated the strings of every heart. Miss Aditi Shukla and Miss Shivani Chaudhary saluted the efforts of our freedom fighters and highlighted the achievements and problems of India. Miss Faizya Parveen and Miss Deepika Yadav along with Mrs. Anna Betty Thomas and Mrs. Nidhi Rathore anchored the programme. An the end School Head Boy and Head Girl proposed the vote of thanks.
To commemorate the birth anniversary of India’s second President Dr. S. Radhakrishnan students of Tatachem DAV Public School, Babrala, celebrated Teacher’s Day with love and reverence. The special day started with assembly organized in a different way. Senior students took charge of morning assembly dedicated to all the teachers in the world. Students from junior classes felt excited to see their seniors in the appearance of teachers. Focus was then shifted from stage to classrooms. The students of class XII became student teachers and managed the classes quite effectively and tactfully. After teaching, students expressed their profound respect for teachers in different forms like, their self-composed poetry, speeches and dance performances.
Afterwards a special program was conducted for the teachers presided over by Mr. S. Bhaskar Kumar, Chairman TCDAV. The program was also graced with the esteemed presence of other distinguished guests like Mrs. Bindu Bhaskar Kumar, Mrs. & Mr. G. K. Rao (Assistant Vice President, Operations) Mr. Puneet Tripathi and Mr. Swapan Kumar Das (LMC Members). Programme started with the ceremonial welcome of the chief guest and other dignitaries followed by the lighting of lamp and a floral tribute to Dr. S. Radha Krishnan, second President of India. Honorable Chairman, Mr. S. Bhashkar encouraged all the teachers with his inspiring words and praised them for their valuable contribution in the life of the students. Principal, Mr. Jagdish Singh also threw light on the crucial role of the teachers in shaping the life of students in today’s challenging scenario. The programme came to an end with a fabulous lunch.
THE STUDENTS SET NEW RECORDS
IN ARMS WRESTLING
The school added a new feather in its cap by setting new records in the ‘Uttar Pradesh Arms Wrestling Championship’ held on 31-08-13 in Kasganj, UP. Four students of Tatachem DAV Public School participated in the Arms Wrestling matches in different categories and put up an excellent performance. Rishabh Yadav (XI-C), Khushboo Gautam (XII-C), Shruti Gautam (X) and Kirti Sharma (VIII) won gold medals in their respective category. All these students were selected for the ‘National Arms-wrestling Championship’
held in Assam from 27 to 29 Sept. 2013. Khushboo Gautam made school proud by winning silver medal in National Arms- Wrestling Championship.

TCDAV SHINES AT CBSE SCIENCE EXHIBITION
To encourage the next generation towards innovation, every year CBSE organizes a three days Science Exhibition at the Regional and National levels through its regional offices at Allahabad, Ajmer, Bhuvaneshwar, Chennai, Delhi, Panchkula, Patna and Guwhati. This year it was organized by the Allahabad Regional Office at Tagore Public School, Allahabad from 29th August to 31st August. From TCDAV Master Aviral Bhatnagar of class XII Sc. And Master Avichal Bhatnagar of class IX presented their project on life style related diseases. Through a model they differentiated health from ill health and also the factors affecting health. The model was well supported by an investigation on prevalence of life style related diseases in different communities viz high socio economic and low socio economic strata. Their project was appreciated by the judges and visitors. The project was selected for the National Science Exhibition held at Salwan Public School, New Delhi. Principal Mr. Jagdish Singh congratulated the winning team and teachers on their achievements.
