Topic Description

With the advancement of technology in our homes and classrooms, digital tools have become an integral part of our communities and personal lives. Technology influences the way students read, write, and communicate with the world around them.

During this session, you will look at important website links and apps that will give your students an authentic purpose for reading and writing. You will look at general tools used in the classroom and see how others are utilizing them to promote literacy in students that are deaf and hard of hearing.

– be aware of links that can be used to promote literacy in students who are deaf and hard of hearing.

– have strategies to promote students use of reading and writing skills for authentic purpose.
