EXPORT CONTRACTS AND DOCUMENTATION COURSE
Specifically developed by GTA for Australian grain exporters
Exporting grain from Australia is a complex task that requires adherence and compliance to
multiple tasks. A lack of attention to detail at any stage can adversely affect the expected
financial outcome of the trade or, at the extreme, render the contract void with the potential
for damages to be sought by the aggrieved party. This course is designed to introduce the tasks
required of grain exporters and is presented by Australian industry practitioners.
Major topics including:
Formation of Contracts
Aligning the contract to customer requirements
Executing the contract
Export Documentation & Letters of Credit
International freight market for bulk carriers & containers
DA Biosecurity - obtaining phytosanitary certification
Export Superintendent
Grain hygiene & quality management across the supply chain
Global and Australia grain trade flows
Charter Parties
Bills of Lading
Insurance
Dispute resolution processes, i.e. GTA, GAFTA and FOSFA
Current export issues
Participants can attend 1, 2 or 3 days depending on requirements.
