QSS LEADERSHIP TEAM

Hugh is British but grew up in the Middle East. He returned to the UK to train at the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst from where he subsequently served as an Infantry Officer for ten years. From there he embarked on a career in Recruitment, for the first twelve years focusing on recruiting for C-Suite roles and then combining all his skills assisting over over 70,000 Service Leaders and Veterans to a smooth transition back into civilian life. Hugh leads the business at Qatar Staffing Solutions, managing the strategic direction and leading key Client relationships.

Andy served in the British Army for eighteen years as an Infantry Soldier and then 22 Special Air Service (SAS). He was awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal and Military Medal and was the British Army’s most highly decorated serving soldier when he left the SAS in 1993. He is a best-selling author, and his most famous book ‘Bravo Two Zero’ is the biggest selling military book of all time around the world. He has been a Director of a private security company ForceSelect for over ten years and regularly lectures on veteran welfare to security and intelligence agencies in the USA and the UK. He developed and maintained a specialist Training course for news crews, journalists and members of non-governmental organisations working in hostile environments. He is one of the high-profile patrons of Help for Heroes. His role within Qatar Staffing Solutions is to advise on and to create bespoke programmes for defence and security.

Razwan began his career in International Marketing Management moving into corporate insurance and then senior level Recruitment. His focus was initially to supply ex-military professionals into a broad spectrum of industrial sectors including defence, aerospace, and aviation. As Operations Director at Qatar Staffing Solutions, he is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and for the placement of candidates into mission critical positions.

Razwan Anwar, Operations Director

Having served as a Royal Engineer in the British Army and subsequently an Operations Manager within a FMCG business based in London, Gavin then undertook and achieved a First-Class Honours degree in Law, specialising in Employment Law.

He has combined both his military and civilian experience to train and manage teams and individuals to project manage several challenging Recruitment initiatives. Gavin has delivered highly skilled ex-Military Service Personnel into a variety of extremely specialised roles across a variety of industrial sectors both in the UK and the Middle East.

Outside of work Gavin still plays competitive football and is a lifelong Aston Villa fan. Incredibly he also finds the time to manage the London based Aston Villa Fan Club.

Gavin Richardson, Recruitment Manager


Gaurav Parab has over seven years’ experience in Staffing and Recruitment, sourcing senior to mid-level white-collar professionals within the Aerospace & Defence, Electrical Engineering and Facilities Management sectors. Prior to joining QSS he was previously a Resourcing Advisor for the in-house executive search business of Laing O’Rourke.

As an experienced Resourcing Consultant, he demonstrates an exceptional track record of working in broad international and inter-cultural environments, having lived and worked not only in the UK but also in India; his country of birth.Outside work, Gaurav enjoys cycling and playing cricket for one of the UKs oldest cricket clubs The Haymakers. He loves travelling and most importantly, he and his wife have recently become parents for the first time with successful arrival of their son Ashvik.

Gaurav Parab, Consultant : Facilities Management

After starting his commercial career at Unilever where he spent 6 years in various marketing roles, he moved to an advertising agency, BD&F. Three years later he formed his own marketing communications agency, Haygarth, which became the largest privately owned agency in the UK employing over 200 people. Haygarth is now owned by Omnicom.

Stephen also formed 5one, an analytics company which he sold to BNP Paribas in 2010 and Inferno, an advertising agency, which he sold to IPG in 2013, now FCB Inferno.

He retains interests in two other agencies in London and is a major shareholder in OCG Software.

He has also held a number of Non-Executive roles including Silverstone Holdings and a number of property companies.

Stephen Morris, Non-Executive Director

Liz is responsible for the delivery of Education and Training resources at QSS. Liz is our ’hidden talent’ as she is also a classically trained Opera singer! She knows all about the importance of world class Training and education having gained a music degree at University of Southampton, and a Master’s degree in Performance Guildhall School of Music & Drama. With three years in the staffing sector, Liz joined QSS in July 2020 to assist with the successful delivery of a Defence related project in Qatar. Liz is responsible for the sourcing and delivery of professionally trained Teachers and Trainers for both short and long-term assignments at Primary, Secondary and Tertiary level as well as providing Trainers and Instructors to deliver industry related Training and qualifications.

George has an integrated marketing background, having worked across brands including L’Oréal, Heineken, Yahoo and Campari. She’s also spent time pursuing her own ventures and currently holds the role of Customer Acquisitions Manager (EMEA) for the Smart Home Security brand Arlo, part of Verisure. This after achieving a First-Class Honours Degree in Business Administration from Bath University.

As an entrepreneurial marketeer, George supports QSS with branding and content, provides a different perspective on recruitment activities, and likes to get involved where possible in the social side of the business.
