And just as simple to correct when you put some honest effort into it.

And making you aware of the mistakes you may be making is in no way intended for you to look or feel foolish. You must be aware of and understand these important mistakes if you are going break free from them. Yes, you may “know” some of the solutions I will present to you here today. But you really have to ask yourself, “If I know these things already, why am I still in the situation I’m in right now?”

It all comes down to taking action. Many people understand how to turn their situation around so they can have the life and career they want. But when it comes to actually doing it, many get side-tracked. My aim for you today is to make these concepts “top of mind” for you. This way you’ll have the greatest chance of applying the simple solutions and improving the results you’re getting now from your real estate activities.

Now that you understand what we’re doing, and how you can benefit from this special report EVEN if you’ve heard these concepts before, let’s get started with the “7 Deadly Mistakes” most under-performing real estate agents make in their day-to-day routine. Mistakes that are sure to put a quick end to any hopes of building wealth and attaining the lifestyle of your dreams in the real estate business:

Deadly Mistake #1:Spending 80% Of Your Time On Non-Money Making Activities

Let’s get this up front and out in the open right now. This “most common deadly mistake” among real estate agents will lead you nowhere but failure.

The fact is – Thinking that being “busy” means you are making money is completely wrong.

See, successful (and high-earning) real estate agents have plenty of free time to play golf, travel, shop… basically, to do whatever they want to do. Now how would this be possible if the busier you were, the more money you would make? The answer is easy. It is not possible to achieve this “freedom” lifestyle if you’re spending

80% of your time doing things that are not directly making you money. For example, it’s incredibly easy to get carried away and waste a HUGE amount of time “friending” and “following” people on websites like Twitter and Facebook. These should have a place in your “marketing toolbox”, just be careful. If you’re not, these activities can easily suck all of your available time away from you… before you even realize what’s happening.

So how can you turn this situation around? So you’re spending 80% of your time ONLY on money-making activities? Delegate non-profit-producing activities to others. And it’s as easy as hiring an assistant part time for $12/hour, or passing these activities off to a qualified outsourced worker.

Now this doesn’t mean you have to farm out all of your daily duties to someone in India or Malaysia. You can find qualified and trustworthy people to do your “busy work” well. Here’s a simple process for finding and evaluating outsourced workers (and even in-office assistants or interns):

1) Find task outsource candidates by running ads on CraigsList, eLance, or Guru.com.

2) When someone responds to your ad, after checking out their credentials and history,

decide whether or not to award a small project or task to this person.3) Make the task only a part of the daily or weekly activities you intend to delegate to others.

4) Do this repeatedly with different tasks awarded to different candidates.

5) When tasks are completed and submitted, determine the best candidates for your future work and those who should not be contacted again.

6) Put together a plan of which tasks need to be delegated regularly, and assign to a new “proven” and trusted outsource worker.

You now have one (or many) trusted “go-to person(s)” to help you with managing those tasks that have been taking up 80% of your productive time… and killing your chances of attaining the kind of success you want as a real estate agent.

So what happens after you’ve got your 80/20 back the way it’s supposed to be?

You feel like the weight of the world has been lifted off of your shoulders. And you instantly realize how you’ve been wasting time each and every day… time which could have been used to get you closer to the income and lifestyle you want so badly.

Because now 80% of your time is spent on money-making activities ONLY. When you complete a task or activity, you now have something to show for your efforts. And that something is cold, hard CASH.

Deadly Mistake #2: Not Having A Clear Daily Action Plan

Look. Getting up and doing the same thing you did the day before is not a plan of action.

It’s much easier to get things done when you have some clear goals in place. If you’re like many real estate agents, you don’t get around to establishing clear goals for yourself… because you think you don’t know how to accomplish the goal.

Big mistake…

If you really wanted a goal bad enough, you would find a way to achieve it. And thinking that you “don’t know how” is limiting your ability to figure it out or find a solution from someone else. Which means the likelihood of you reaching this goal is not very good.

And you can’t expect to get things done on a daily, weekly and monthly basis is you’re not defining specific goals for each time period.

Defining your goals means writing them down where you can review them easily at the start of every day, week or month. This way you can not only stay on-track, you can evaluate your progress from the previous period at the same time.

Doing this allows you to correct and adjust for mistakes and being off-course. There’s nothing worse than doing the wrong things, week after week after week. Regular reviews of your progress will avoid this costly and potentially career-ending cycle.

And before you know it, you’ll see that you are indeed “getting things done.” You’ll feel great about your accomplishments. While you’re making progress toward your big picture goals of financial security, respect and the lifestyle you want… whatever that may be.

This brings us to our next Deadly Mistake. A common situation that can have you stressed out, wasting time on unprofitable and often PERSONAL activities, and unclear of your professional status and self-image…

Deadly Mistake #3: Not Separating Your Real Estate Career Time From Your Personal Activities Time

How in the world can you maintain a positive, strong self-image as a real estate professional when you’re doing very “unprofessional” activities during your work day? I’m talking about picking up your husband’s dry cleaning on the way to an appointment. Or how about stopping to pay your wife’s credit card bill at Macy’s.

I could easily list 100 interruptions which real estate agents regularly take time for during the course of a WORK day that steal time from their MONEY-MAKING activities. Notice the operative words in that last sentence… “money-making”… and “work.” Are you making money when you’re dropping your dog off at the groomer? How about doing your grocery shopping in the middle of a work day?

Learning to keep your professional life and your personal life completely separated will bring you the results of someone who considers themselves a professional. You’ll be much more productive and profitable during the time you’ve allotted for “work.” And you’ll enjoy the time you’ve allotted for “personal and play” much more than you ever have before!

Plus, you’ll have more self-respect… a professional self-image that will affect everything you do, both during work time AND your personal time. Want to be a high-producing, well-respected real estate agent? Then you have to act, think and live like one. And when you do? A whole new world opens up to you. People can tell when you’ve “got it together” by the energy

you show, the attitude (of a winner) that you carry, and the confident way you live every day of your life.

When you’ve got this going for you, the world rewards you with the things you want. And often with much less effort than you’re putting forth now. Try it, you’ll see.

Deadly Mistake #4:Not Educating Yourself On Effective Prospecting and Communication Practices

This goes back to the fact that real estate school doesn’t prepare you for the “business” of real estate. By this I mean everything that happens BEFORE you close the deal.

If you’ve been a real estate agent for less than a year or two… and you’re not seeking out prospecting and communication advice and strategies that are working NOW… you’re putting yourself at a great disadvantage. And if you’ve been at the real estate game for a LONG time? You know as well as I do that things have changed.

Using only what worked before is not nearly as effective as it once was. And with all of the different ways of finding and communicating with future prospects that have emerged over the last 5 years, you too are at a great disadvantage if you’re not learning new tactics and new media strategies.

With the wealth of information available online these days, there is no “excuse” for NOT finding someone you trust… and educating yourself on “what’s working now.” When you do, you’ll wish you had brought yourself up-to-speed a long time ago!

Now speaking of “excuses”… here’s what I have to share with you about…

Deadly Mistake #5:Not Holding Yourself To Higher Standards

Making excuses is the fast-track to failure in the real estate business. But this is just the “tip of the iceberg” when it comes to operating with low standards and performance.

It’s not my intent to personally attack you here, but see how many of these “bad habits” common to underperforming agents strikes a chord with you:

¾ Work ethic not the greatest (and accepting it)

¾ Poor hunting and networking skills (not trying to improve)

¾ Focusing on “me, me” (instead of your future prospect)

¾ Not volunteering and attending community events (and helping others)

¾ Allowing yourself to operate with low standards

¾ Having no boundaries (saying “yes” always, instead of “no” when appropriate)

¾ Over-promising and under delivering (completely backwards)

¾ Working from a scarcity mindset (only as good as your last sale)

¾ Constantly “chasing” a deal (instead of attracting deals to you)

¾ No structure in your professional life (living and working aimlessly)

¾ Not practicing (or believing the value of) positive thinking and actions

So what’s the answer to turning around each of these “bad habits”? Believing in yourself, for starters. Then making it a point to do what it takes to raise your standards “across the board.” And with higher standards comes higher expectations of what’s to come.

I know you had expectations when you first started as an agent that may not have been realized. But now, since you have done what it takes to be a person of “higher standards”, you now have “the stuff” to make your higher expectations a reality. And it only takes a simple shift in the way you think about the real estate game, and how you think about yourself. Which brings us to…

Deadly Mistake #6:Letting “The Economy” or Your Personal Situation Affect Your Actions and Thinking

Not only do you have to raise your standards and expectations, you have to give the “mental you” an extreme makeover. And I say “extreme” because so many people are letting themselves get caught up in all of this “it’s a bad economy” thinking.

First of all, if you’re living from week to week with no wiggle-room financially, this is limiting your performance and your actions like you won’t believe…

you know you could survive if you stopped making money tomorrow) is the best thing you can do for your mental health. You’ll break free from the “scarcity” mindset you may be operating with this very moment. See, when you don’t have to worry about the check you just wrote for your mortgage bouncing from here to China and back, your daily stress level will go down DRAMATICALLY.

And when this happens, your mind starts to think differently. You can think of the possibility of making more and more money (and taking the actions needed to do so), instead of worrying where your next paycheck is coming from. This is what people mean when they talk about “attracting money” to your life.

No, I’m not talking about “The Secret” here. The fact is, your mind can find all sorts of solutions to problems you may have. When you’re stressed out and thinking about the next bill you’ve got to pay, your mind is bogged down in this “negative” place.

When you mind is free of crippling stress and worry, it will start working on ideas you can put into action. That’s when you can make the expectations you have about the rewards that come along with being a real estate agent a reality. And when your mind is thinking and working in “abundance mode” instead of “scarcity mode,” the transformation of your real estate career is headed no place but UP!

This is when you’ll find it much easier to take the right actions to get where you want to be. You won’t need a strong kick in the ass to get yourself going anymore. And you certainly won’t get bogged down from being bored or tired of the same old routine…

In fact, the opposite will be true now. You’ll be fired-up every single day, since you now look at the real estate market as one HUGE opportunity to get what you want out of life. Instead of being limited and very unmotivated to do anything because of “the economy.”

With your new “success mindset” you will now be ready to tackle the final “Deadly Mistake” made by most real estate agents…

Deadly Mistake #7: Not Having Clear, Consistent, Driven Intent Of Action

Making a plan of action and just going through the motions each day just isn’t enough. Not if you want to rise to the top 11% of high-producing, successful real estate agents. It’s time to develop a clear reason why you should be doing each activity of your action plan.

And it doesn’t stop there. The degree and frequency of action you take must be written in stone. You must be willing to commit yourself to acting on your plan with as much vigor and energy on the last day of the month as you had on the first day. Consistency always pays. And being inconsistent with your real estate marketing will always lets you down.

So when you have clarity about the actions you’re taking… and you are taking action in an unwavering, consistent manner… are you all set for HUGE success? Sorry, but the answer is NO. But how can that be? Simple, really. Because you’re missing the one essential piece of the puzzle that drives your actions in the direction of profits and success – Being clear and consistent about the INTENTIONS of your actions.

As I always tell my students… 100% Intention = 100% Results! Anything less will get you less than the results you want. And that’s what it’s all about, right? Getting EXACTLY what you want. Everything you want. If you think about it, why would you become a real estate agent, go through the difficult testing process to get your license and NOT play to win?

Have you ever known someone that people talk about as “knowing what they want?” Well if you lose sight of what you want for even one day, you can find yourself off-track for reaching your goals. That’s why it’s so important to review your goals daily, weekly and monthly. And why it’s so important that you attain total clarity about what you want. Then hold on to this “clarity of action” every day… no matter what.

When you can accomplish this feat (which many agents miss completely), you have mentally reached the level of the elite 11% of happy, respected, financially free agents. You’ve come 95% of the way at this point. The rest is just follow-through. Honing your clarity. Being ruthlessly consistent. Always knowing WHY you’re doing something, and exactly what doing that activity will bring you.

In other words, you have attained “The Holy Grail” of the real estate game. Those who have it win BIG. Those who don’t are relegated to a life of watching the top-producers with awe and amazement.

Now it’s time to decide for yourself… which group of people do you want to belong to? The group that are in the same position as you are this very moment? Or the group of people that have the world in the palm of their hands?
