It must be capable of holdingthe components of the entrance system in position securely to keep doors andhardware operating properly without the need for constant adjustment andrepair. Many entrance problems attributed to doors are actually frameproblems. At Special-Lite, we believe longer-lasting doors deserve longer-lasting frames, so thats what we make.

Our frame extrusions are manufactured from 6063-T5 aluminum alloy withClass 1 architectural grade (.7 mil) anodized or Kynar

painted finish. Thanks tothese highly durable finishes, our entrances will look like new for years with onlyroutine cleaning with mild soap and water.

For extended entrance life with

minimal maintenance, all corner jointsare secured with heavy-duty internaljoint anchors that enhance jointstrength. Special-Lite Frames are alsointernally reinforced with aluminumbar stock at the closer, mullion, andlocking strike attachment points toreduce metal fatigue and preventcomponent loosening.

To ensure the highest qualityworkmanship, correct fit, and reliableperformance, every Special-Lite Frameis fully assembled at our factory withminimal knock-down for shipment.We provide detailed installationinstructions and a schedule of glasssizes with each job for faster,easier installation.

We can even provide you withsubmittal drawings or computer-generated design

And when it comes to color, we offer a varietyof popular choices, including 20 Kynar paintcolors, as well as any custom color you request.We also offer anodized aluminum finishes instandard clear, dark bronze, and black, as wellas optional champagne, light bronze, andmedium bronze.

Removable center posts for extra wide loadFor greater entrance versatility, you cant beat our SL-61Removable Center Post. It fits our standard tube frames andcombines solid entrance security with attractive appearance andeasy removal to allow oversized objects to pass. It is available inkeyed and non-keyed versions and any of our finish options for a

exact match to our other products.

All panels are made to customerspecifications in thicknesses of 14",1" or 134", in any size up to 4' x 8'.Contact the factory for specificlimitations.134" thick panels featurewood perimeter frames and poured-in-place urethane cores that not onlyincrease the strength of the panel,but provide thermal insulationcomparable to a door of the sametype. Our 1" panels have a urethanefoam core bonded between the outerskins, and an R value of 4.3. Our

urethane foam is also impervious towater for longer life.

For small areas or vestibules notrequiring thermal insulation, 14" thickpanels are an alternative. 14" panelswith composite face sheets are madewith two face sheets bonded back-to-back. Aluminum 14" panels include.125" tempered hardboard betweenface sheets for added rigidity.

Choose fromFiberglass Reinforced Polyester (FRP), Acrylic Modified Polyester (AMP) orAluminum, depending on the demands of your particular application.These materials and finishes will not rust, chip or peel, making our panelsmaintenance-free.

SL-36 Aluminum PanelsThe SL-36 Panel matches our SL-16 Aluminum Flush Door and isrecommended for locations where the aesthetic appeal of a smoothface sheet is desired, but harsh treatment is not likely.

SL-37 Pebblegrain FRP PanelsThe SL-37 Panel is the perfect match for our SL-17 FRP Flush Door. Like theSL-17, it can stand up to the most demanding applications imaginable.Featuring our exclusive, .120" thick, through-colored SpecLite 3 pebblegrainFRP, it provides exceptional resistance to impact, scratches, stains, and fading.

The SL-37 Panel can also be ordered with painted pebblegrain FRP face sheets.

SL-38 AMP Colonial PanelsThe SL-38 is the right choice to maintain a classic colonial look for side litesand transoms without sacrificing performance. This panel is made with thesame wood grain colonial panel face sheets as the SL-18 Door, and yourchoice of wood or extruded 134" aluminum perimeter frame. They can befinished in the same wood stain or painted finishes as our wood grain doorsfor a coordinated entrance design. Certain size and configuration limitationsapply, including a size maximum of 4' x 8'. Contact Special-Lite for details.

SL-39 AMP Wood Grain PanelsWhen you want the warm look of wood, without added maintenance,choose the SL-39 Panel. Constructed just like our aluminum and FRP-skinnedpanels, they feature the face sheets of the SL-19 Door, and are available inall of the same finish choices.
