With approximately 45,000 children in child care settings throughout New Hampshire, its essential that these settings have strong emergency plans and procedures in place. NH CCLU Rule states Programs shall develop an Emergency Operations Plan (EOP)”. Through various hands-on activities and interactive group discussions, participants will walk away with a stronger working knowledge of the emergency preparedness planning process. This training is intended for those who provide direct care to children in child care centers, afterschool programs, and family child care pro- grams to develop a plan specific to their needs. Participants will be better able to prepare for, respond to, and recover from the next inci- dent, emergency or major disaster by addressing the following: Obtain in-depth information on how to plan for and properly execute emergency response drills. Strengthen their emergency preparedness planning process by creating their own comprehensive and sustainable EOP. Explore resources available to help develop a successful EOP.
