Why do student’s have an IEP?
• Students area of deficit impact the students ability to access curriculum and preform at the same ability level as their non disabled peers.
• To be classified as disabled, a student meets a set of criteria as defined by federal and state mandates.
• The student(s) needs to qualify and be classified under one of 13 categories.
