Prince Edward Island has a rich tradition in the perorming ar ts. From music to dance to theatre, the province has excelle nt youth programming , which produces ar tists eager to start proessional careers. Until now , the regional options or post-secondary  proessional training to provide fedgling artists with a strong oundation upon which to build their careers have been scarce.  A partnership between Holland College and Conederat ion Centre o the Ar ts will oer aspiring perormers two-year diploma programs in contemporary Music Perormance and Dance Perormance, as well as a one-year Perorming Arts Foundation certicate  program. The programs will draw on the strengths o Conederation Centre o the Ar ts and Holland College to provide students with a strong oundation in their eld, as well as in the business aspects o their chosen proession. It is the largest cultural institution in Atlantic Canada, covering an entire city block, consisting of theatres, galleries, a public library, restaurant, and gift shop.  The Confederation Centre is Canada’ s celebration of the ideals of Confederation, expressing through the ar ts Canada’s heritage, diversity and creativity.
