SITUATION

Spain is a member state of the European Union situated in southwestern Europe on the Iberian Peninsula.

With an area of 504,030 km², Spain is the second largest country in the European Union, after France.

The capital of Spain is Madrid, the biggest city. Other big cities are:Barcelona,Sevilla and Valencia.

Spain's economy is the ninth largest worldwide and the fifth largest in Europe. It is also the third largest world investor.
