Patricia asked for help, but found it very frustrating because she has to repeat her story several times to lots of different agencies. Once she has told them all about her situation, they usually just give her some information and tell her to contact somebody else, and then she has to tell the story all over again.
2007
• Wyre Forest pilot to Worcestershire (7 to 55 cases)
• Partnership includes:
• Five RSL's (unlock additional match funding)
• Police (gravitas & support to breaking a cycle of
sanctions)
• Children's Services (support a different approach)
• Total Place emphasised that the Family Intervention
Project was the right approach
• WFIP gained attention of Government & additional grant
2008 - 2009
• Coalition Government - everything
changed
• Public Spending Review - many
FIP’s cut
• WFIP built on shared funding &
strong partnership, kept us going
• Everything had to be reinvented
(Community Budgets & Troubled
Families)

Longer term
• Increase commissioning that
cements service silos
