On Sunday September 16th 2012, The Royal County Berkshire Polo Club (RCBPC) and J&E Media will host the inaugural Sovereign Charity Polo Shield.
Bringing together prominent figures from business and the polo community, J&E Media presents an action packed, fun-filled multicultural event that will widen the scope for the ‘Sport of Kings’.
Over a thousand guests will enjoy an enthralling day of sport, entertainment, luxury and glamour commencing with a champagne and canapé reception served in the majestic surroundings of our bespoke marquee with spectacular views across the grounds.
Once guests are suitably relaxed, Vice Chairman and London Captain Jamie Morrison will lead his all-star team into battle against Lagos’ elite squad of equestrians. The scene is set for thrills and spills abound: the air charged with the thunder of hooves as players challenge each other in a fierce display of horsemanship, treating spectators to what is sure to be an exhilarating tournament. Following the match, victory and mastery will be celebrated in an award ceremony honouring the winning team and best players of the day.
Our charity auction will keep the adrenaline flowing when guests will get the chance to bid for an extraordinary array of unique and chic items and experiences, while raising money for this year’s worthy causes: the ACLT and War Child.

Furthermore, the discerning vip will enjoy access to the sumptuous billionaires’ club lounge serving exquisite cocktails, a selection of choice spirits and, for guests with a penchant for tobacco, the finest cigars around.
As befitting such a superlative day’s entertainment, the evening boasts a celestial bill with performances from an international star-studded line-up to crown the 2012 inaugural sovereign polo charity shield in style.
