Summary Notes
Overall discipline incidents have decreased by 436 incidents over the past three years(63%).
Overall discipline decreased by 211 incidents this year(54%).
Overall bus discipline decreased by 64 incidents this year(64%).
Grade 6 ODR decreased by 40 incidents Grade 7 ODR decreased by 90 incidents Grade 8 ODR decreased by 82 incidents Classroom incidents are the highest of all locations. December and March have the highest number of ODR’s
during the past two years.

Referrals(ASD and Lunch Detention)
Setting Up Safe Seat Area In every classroom there is a Safe Seat
for students and teachers to utilize when they need some time to take a break. In this area you will find:
Guidelines of Success COLT Behavior Matrix Classroom Support Plan Safe Seat Tri-fold Safe Seat Red and Yellow Folders
Rewards and Incentives Students receive daily, weekly, and
quarterly rewards in the classroom and on a school-wide basis.
$1.00 COLT CASH “Staying on the Green” in the Core Classes “Gotcha” from all school staff
Hallway Transitions Behavior in the media center and computer labs Behavior in the ENCORE classes
COLT PRIDECafeteria Behavior Lunch Time Competition
• On Time to lunch• Low to Moderate noise level• Area cleaned before dismissal without reminders
Each shift is judged by cafeteria staff, custodial staff, and designated person in chargeProgress is tracked on a chart in the cafeteria
Examples of the Grade Level rewards include special treats, free popcorn and watching movies in the cafeteria, participating in karaoke and much more
Winning Grade Level will be selected at each three week interim period
CORE teachers for that grade level will receive duty -free lunch pass
COLT PRIDE COLT Pride on the Bus
Bus drivers will give out COLT Pride tickets on the bus weekly to students who exhibit good bus behavior.
COLT Pride tickets will be redeemed in the office for $5.00 COLT CASH
Parents will be called by School administrators, guidance counselor, and office personnel
Weekly Rewards
COLT CASH Drawings Each Friday, there will be drawings for
prizes. Students can write their names on the back of their COLT CASH and place it in the COLT CASH Box that is located in the cafeteria .
Drawings are for various prizes: dance passes, game passes, t-shirts, hats, athletic bags, concession passes, etc.

Each Friday, the COLT CASH CART will be open in the cafeteria for students to purchase items

Nine Week Incentive Celebrations Every Nine Weeks there will be a school-wide celebration Students who have not received ISS, OSS, or Bus
Suspension are eligible to attend The school will follow the Assembly Schedule for the day
and the celebrations are held during the last two hours of the day
First Nine Weeks: Carnival Celebration on Friday, November 8
Second Nine Weeks: School Wide Dance and Step Competition on January 31(Free Popcorn provided during the STEP competition)
Third Nine Weeks: Field Day Activities on Friday, April 11 (Free Snow Cones provided during the Class Competitions
Fourth Nine Weeks: Block Party on Wednesday, June 11

School Expectations ChallengeLooking for some videos to showcase our
school-wide Guidelines of Success School Expectations Video Contest begins on September 6
and runs through October 25. Participating classrooms can draw for an area on the COLT
Behavior Matrix and make a video that goes over the Guidelines of Success for that area.
The winning videos will be featured on the School website and will be shown during College Explosion during the month of November.
Prize for the winning classes will be free snow cones and a pass for two extra planning periods for their teacher.
(It is not required to participate in this contest.)
School Staff will provide support by
Implementing Student Leadership and Enrichment Activities on Friday beginning on November 1 Students will choose exploratory every six weeks Teachers need to come up with an enriching
exploratory that they are interested in and that students would be interested in.
Some Examples are Art, Odyssey of the Mind Problem Solving, Chess, Robotics, Global Awareness, Step, Basketball, Video Lip Dubbing, Boomwhackers, Performing Arts, Engineering, LEGO Building, Line Dancing, KINECT, Guitars, Karaoke,
Mind Benders, Problem Solving , Board Games, Scrap Booking
PBIS Assemblies to build School Culture
August 27-30 Administration visits homerooms to go over School Expectations and PBIS Incentives
December20: View School Lip Dub, Class Competition in Minute to Win It Games and Spirit Links Contest
April 25: Bullying Awareness Assembly
Leadership /Service Clubs Meet every other Wednesday during
College Explosion Distinguished Gentlemen Sisters of Purpose Friends Against Bullying
Each month the groups will meet once for business meeting and the other Wednesday will be spent doing Service Learning Projects in the School like peer tutoring, bully awareness camps, buddy reading.
PBIS Student Leadership Club Representation of all grade levels Representation from the Student Leadership Clubs Will plan and work at all Incentive Celebrations Will plan and coordinate PBIS assemblies Will coordinate and oversee School Wide Service
Learning Projects Will assist in fundraising activities Will meet once a month during College Explosion
