The Library's Distance Education Library Services facilitate remote access
to all electronic resources (databases and e-books), print materials (via
ILL and OK-Share), and library services needed for their academic success
without regard to location and time.
Chalk & Wire is a Learning Management System used students in the
Teacher Education Program at Southeastern. Students utilize the system
to create and maintain an online portfolio which is required for their
progress through the Teacher Education program.
Online Tutorials available on the Library's website to provide tutorials for
students on a variety of subjects. These include how to use the library
and library resources. http://homepages.se.edu/library/library-
instruction/tutorials/
CIDT provides support for Blackboard Learn 9.1 (Bb) and distance
learning. They are the clearinghouse of information on how to use Bb
and provide also online and face-to-face support for students using Bb.
They work with faculty and support service providers to coordinate and
promote campus-wide, technology-related services.
Blackboard Learn 9.1 is the learning management system used for all
online courses offered at Southeastern. In addition, other courses use Bb
to provide supplementary instructional support for the course.
SmartThinking is an on-demand student support system. Access to the
system is available to all current students using their network username
and password. SmartThinking provides live, 24/7 online tutoring and an
online Writing Lab that provides feedback and personalized critiques to
students. Tutoring in a majority of subjects is available.
All current students are assigned an SE email address via OneNet for
University communications. This email is where they will receive special
University announcements and communications from SE faculty/staff.
The Library provides access to databases, containing abstracts and full-
text articles from magazines and journals on the Internet, aid in accessing
scholarly information from any internet computer at any time. The
Library has access through its digital database subscriptions to over
46,473 Full-text periodicals. Over 9,400 electronic books are accessible
through the catalog via NetLibrary. Through the online database LoisLaw,
the Library has access to thousands of federal and state court cases,
statutes and administrative regulations. Through CCH Tax Research
Network Online, students have access to the tax code, rules and
regulations, and court cases. Articles on musical terms can be found in
the Grove Music Online database. In addition, the Library produces
Research Guides on various topics which students may access online.
The SE Help Desk provides technical support to students regarding access
to their Student E-Mail, Bb, Network or Campus Connect Accounts.

Campus Connect is a student information system that allows current
students access to their academic information. CC provides online
access to add/drop classes, viewing transcripts/schedules,
viewing/accepting financial aid, viewing/paying student bills, updating
various demographic information, viewing advising information, and
much more.
Beginning in Fall 2013, an electronic Early Alert Reporting (EAR) system
was implemented allowing faculty to submit online reports/updates via
Campus Connect regarding a student's academic status. Once an EAR
report is submitted, an email is sent to the student and their advisor. This

Over 40 classrooms have been equipped as "Smart Rooms" which include
computers and projectors. All rooms are networked to allow internet
access to the professor.
All buildings on campus have had wireless internet access points installed
allowing campus-wide Wi-Fi availability to students. SE Wi-Fi is a secure
access system which requires the students to log in using their network
username and password.
The Counseling Center provides an online screening program for
depression, alcohol and eating disorders. The free screening is made
available to all SE students, faculty and staff. The screenings are
anonymous and are provided to find out whether or not professional
consultation would be helpful.
The Career Management Center (CMC) partners with National Association
of Colleges and Employers (NACE) where students may post resumes
online, view and apply for jobs, and schedule on-campus interviews. The
information in a candidate’s profile is used by CMC for job-search
advising, promoting programs and services, notifying candidates of
employment opportunities, and referring candidates to employers.
Each Residence Hall bedroom is wired with a high-speed Ethernet
internet connection for each resident. Wi-Fi is also available in many of
the halls.
The SE Emergency Alert System is available to students and is designed to
send alerts of emergencies that warrant immediate notification.
