We would like to welcome you to the first South Island All Welsh Show.

This has been a long time in the making, and there have been many discussions, on how to put this show into

place. We felt there has been a need for a high level Welsh Show in the South Island for some time and we have

based our schedule along the same lines as some of the Australian Welsh Shows.

Feel free to contact any of us at any time, we are open to suggestions, this show is for you the competitor to show

your beautiful Welsh ponies, cobs and partbreds.

Please find attached to this schedule a sponsorship form, we would like to thank the people who have come

forward already to offer sponsorship, very much appreciated. Thank You.

There will be fantastic prizes on offer, including prize money, trophies and garlands.

Show Rules1. Your entry fee must accompany your entry or it will be returned. NO LATE ENTRIES

ACCEPTED.

2. All exhibits must be fully registered with the Welsh Pony & Cob Society of New Zealand.

3. The organising committee reserves the right to alter conditions or order of events,

combine classes or cancel events entirely at its own discretion.

4. A Veterinary Certificate must be produced to the Secretary for any horse/pony being

substituted.

5. Number Holders are compulsory can either be of breastplate form, armband or

attached to the back of a rider, back number list will be emailed (if you have suppliedemail address) and posted on facebook prior to the show.

6. The show will not be responsible for any accident, loss or damage that may be suffered

by any exhibit, person or property and it shall be condition of entry that each exhibitor

shall hold the committee indemnified against any claim in respect of any accident, loss or

damage.

7. All colts of the age of six months must have a bit in their mouth.

8. All STALLIONS must have badges attached to bridle and not be left unattended at any

time, unless confined to a stable/float.

9. Tranquilizers, stimulants, or any drug which affects the performance of Horses or Poniesis forbidden.

10. In ridden classes, horses or ponies must be 3 years and over.

11.75% refund on entry fees ONLY, will be refunded with a Veterinary Certificate/Doctors

Certificate provided they are received within seven days of the show being held.

12.Judges may be subject to change.

13.Height Certificates may be requested for partbreds.

14.Age of rider/handler is at date of show.

15.DOGS ON A LEASH AT ALL TIMES.

16.Partbred ponies to be plaited.

17.SAFETY HATS- An approved safety helmet is to be worn by anyone riding on the

showgrounds. It must be worn with the chinstrap properly adjusted and fastened at all

times. All riders under 16 must have a helmet that includes a retaining harness secured

to the shell at more than two points.

18.Whips no longer than 76cm.

19.Protests must be in writing and accompanied by a deposit of $50 which will be refunded if

protest upheld. Any protest must be lodged within 30 minutes of the incident that

occurred initiating protest.

20.Ribbons 1st 4th.

21. By signing the entry form, you are in acceptance of the above rules.
