•The old advisory program clearly didn’t work so lets revamp.

What is a Crew?

•A group of people working together

Not working together

Purpose of crew

•Build Relationships• Students with no adult connections

have lower attendance.• Positive relationships with others.

•Develop a school identity.•Leadership opportunities•School Spirit.

Crews

•How are they selected?

Step 1

•Students are given a ballot during homeroom (first 10 days of school) where they are allowed to select their top 3 choices of crew leaders. This can be based on crew leader preference or crew preference.

Step 2

•Crew planning committee will sort ballots and assign crews. The goal will be to give the students their first or second crew choice.

•95% of students who voted were given their 1st, 2nd, or 3rd choice.

Crew Time •Crew will be held every Friday from

11:20- 12:00pm. (40 minutes)•Crew will alternate with homeroom

when necessary. •First crew will be held Friday

October 1st.
