3D Modelling and Animation Proposal Template
Synopsis. Give a brief summary of your proposed 3D game. What is the story and what content is going to be included in your environment?
My game is a simple phone / tablet game where you fly around collecting food to give to your kids and get a high score, my characters will be birds, worms and fish, and the environment will be a small park area
Objective. What is the purpose of your design? How will it meet the client brief and audience? Who are the audience for this design? What benefits will this design offer to the audience?
The purpose is to make a concept 3d game, with animated assets to present to a company called zenna games. The audience isn’t anyone in particular because this is just a concept game. But the game is intended to be played by casual gamers of any age Target Audience
My target audience for my game are casual gamers, children or adult. It’s a game for people on the move and is meant to be taken out on trips to places to kill a few minuets
The game will be short and round based, so a quick play of the game is easy even in a short wait, and it’s also score based, so there are no consequences for turning the game off midgame, this makes it an ideal game for people on the go, like other portable games with score/time based games such as super hexagon and jet pack joyride.
The game is simple and easy to learn, making it a game suitable for all ages. Its simple and colourful art style will look good to children, and the score aspect and competitively will attract adults and more completive people, an example if a simple game with an aim on achieving a high score is flappy bird, this game also was played a lot by both adults and children Structure/Constraints. How will the assets be constructed, what techniques are you going to use to build your scene? Where will you get your textures from? What are the legal constraints i.e. copyright,
ethical what do you need to make sure off to not discriminate or represent certain individual groups in a negative way.
My characters and models will be made in Cinema 4D, and will be using the tools In that programme, such as:

A big legal constraint is to not used an already copyrighted character or copy another game, we have to make original characters and game ideas. My characters and props will be made in cinema 4D and textured using either Photoshop or substance painter.
My game is about birds and has no human characteristics in it to be offensive to any groups.Visual Design. Briefly describe the overall style of your models and animation Describe what it would look like; what existing designs can you compare it to?
My visual style will be low poly, this is can be complicated to do and have lots of impressive and simplistic looking results, and is also good because my game is a phone game so lower polygon count will be good for optimisation so it can work properly, the style will look a bit like totally accurate battle simulator
Look and Feel. Include a mock-up or sketch of your proposed models include how it will be animated, detailing style, choice of modelling, texturing style etc.
Technical Specifications. Identify what technique you are going to use for your models and animation , is it going to use a high polygon count or low? what is the output size going to be?
My game will use a low poly count combined with ambient occlusion, and maybe hair. So the output size may be quite big depending on how much hair I use if I do
Legal and Ethical Consideration of what do you need to be aware of e.g. copyright, causing offence, decency and taste issues? Race, sexuality
My game is about animals and can’t cause any forms of offensive (race and sexuality wise) my game is also kid friendly and only form of violence it shows are birds eating worms
And my game also doesn’t break any laws and doesn’t use any copy righted characters or assets
Delivery. List what you intend to have once you have finished your models and animation
