Important Dates and Information• February 12th - Senior Course planning evening –

for parents @ 7:00pm in the theatre

• February 4th to February 28th – Parent and Student Connect will be open to select courses

• Make sure to press SAVE

• Course requests will then be reviewed and some courses may be cut due to lack of enrollment. You will be notified if any cuts affect you and you will be asked log back into PC/SC to choose an alternate course.

Language Challenge Exams

� For those students with a fluent background in French, Mandarin, Spanish, Japanese, Punjabi, Korean, German

� Tested on listening, written, and spoken language

� They may apply to write a challenge exam to earn Language 11 and 12 credits

� Application process is in the fall, exam in January at DSS

� Exams are free to all students, except International students

� Challenge exams (11 or 12) can usually be used for second language requirements for post-secondary admission

• Challenge exams (12) grade can also be used as an admissions course at some universities (not UBC or U of T)
