introductionThe recommendations provided in this Master Plan are the result of a collaborative effort between the consultant and the Campus Master Planning and Design Committee. The master plan represents the high quality values and vision of the campus administration, including:
-Creation of a unified and universally attractive campus corridor
-Extention of a notable pedestrian ‘front door’ to the edge of campus
-Improved pedestrian and bicycle access and circulation
-Use of quality architectural materials and landscape plantings
-Improved campus signage and wayfinding
-Incorporation of sustainable design principles
-Support of campus art
The Master Plan represents a vision for the future of the campus and shows the opportunity to create a series of memorable and timeless outdoor campus spaces that will change the face of a significant portion of the South Dakota State University campus.
