CFC PRESS CONFERENCE
CFC PRESS CONFERENCE
The Chicago Football Classic has become a staple in the Chicago area. This year the 14th annual event was held on Labor Day weekend @ Solider Field.
The mission of CFC is to empower youth with enthusiastic hopes, boundless dreams and quest for educational excellence through cultural connections and sports.
We were honored to have the opportunity to hold the press conference at the South Chicago Community Store. We welcomed many city officials, educators, and community activist including Mayor Rahm Emmanuel who are invested in our youth and the community.
The CFC is a fun family event that also impacts the lives of the youth in a positive way.

LITTLE BLACK PEARL AND OPTIONS LABORTORY SCHOOL
Our new community partner Little Black Pearl and Options Laboratory School had their fundraising Gala on Saturday
August 13th 2011. We set up a Nike room showcasing the options the youth would have to buy at their own shopping event in-
store on August 28th 2011.
Our athletes modeled the clothing, book bags and even worked out with the push-up bars and weight bands. The youth that
performed wore the shoes and jackets that Options Laboratory School would wear in the fall. The event was a huge success.
OPTIONS LABORTORY SCHOOL SHOPPPING EVENT
On August 28, 2011 Options Lab School had a shopping event at our South Chicago Factory Store. The Store was closed for their own private premier shopping experience to shop and pick out
whatever was needed for the upcoming school year.
Students tried on clothes, shoes that we had picked out for the school year and even picked up equipment. Parents even found
some goodies for themselves!

SOUTH CENTRAL COMMUNITY SERVICES TOY DRIVE
MISSION: Collect over 148 toys for South Central Community .
GOAL: Holiday Cheer and Smiles for over 148 children
The athletes, and leadership team donated toys and Nike apparel for kids ranging from ages 2-16.
On December 21st 2011 at 8:00 the 1st bus out of 4 came through our doors to receive gifts. The athletes did a great job interacting with the children; opening presents, getting to know who they were and even giving a tour of our store.
We later found out there were two classes that couldn’t come to us because of lack of permission slips, so we decided to go to them. We loaded up cars and packed up presents and headed to SCCS!
TEAM NIKE SPREADING HOLIDAY CHEER
Around the Mound Orlando Hudson, a three-time Gold Glove second baseman for the Los Angeles Dodgers is teaming up with friends to implement his Around the Mound Tour. The tour was created to get more African-American youth interested in the sport of baseball.Hudson gathered other African-American MLB players to help support his efforts and visited the cities where games are played by the Los Angeles Dodgers, to speak to middle school, high school, RBI and little league baseball teams in urban areas.
The second tour date was Wednesday, June 24th 2009 at the Chicago White Sox’s Stadium. Orlando Hudson and Chicago White Sox Right Fielder, Jermaine Dye, shared their stories of how they became involved with baseball and its importance to be consistent in the sport. Other activities included photograph and autograph opportunities, tips and techniques to use on the field and a question session for youth to get answers from the pros.
