SOTx - An XSEED School of Tomorrow Regional Seminar Private school education today is a defining social phenomenon impacting between 40-60% of all enrolled students and thriving ‘industry’ valued at over $20billion. Given poor learning outcomes and paucity of teaching talent, school leaders feel the desperate need to upgrade the quality of teaching, learning and curriculum. Solving a School Leader’s Dilemma. Quality versus Everything Else. Yet, in reality their energy is sucked in to managing ‘everything else’; parents who increasingly demand involvement in school affairs, increasing competition from well-funded corporate players and interventionist government regulations. Many pragmatists argue on the contrary that schools, to be financially viable and to grow their enrolment, need to accommodate the demands of mainstream society. What is the right balance? SOTx seminar will continue the discussion started at the XSEED School of Tomorrow Conference 2013. The seminar will feature research-based insights and rich practical experiences drawing on some of the well-known minds in education and civil society to help resolve some of these critical dilemmas school leaders face today. About SOTx - An XSEED School of Tomorrow Regional Seminar SeriesAs an attempt to take the ‘School of Tomorrow’ discussion to even more educators across the vast Indian subcontinent, XSEED experimented with a regional extension of the conference in 2012. Now, 2013 will see a series of over 12 such regional get-togethers of educators across the country, starting from Jaipur.

About XSEEDXSEED is a comprehensive academic solution that is designed to raise the level of learning in classrooms and build confidence in children. XSEED follows the proven Five-Step Experiential Learning Method where concepts are taught through hands-on experimentation followed by analysis by students, questioning, application and feedback. This replaces the one-step ‘telling’ and memorization followed in many traditional classrooms. Therefore, students in XSEED classrooms grasp core concepts better, communicate fluently in English, and perform better in reasoning and application based tests. At home, XSEED children take more interest in studies and work independently on home assignments. XSEED parents also get a Model Teaching Video pack (real classrooms videos) for home teaching. Overall, parents see that their children are confident and ready with skills required for higher studies and careers.
