Examination Scheme 2019-20 for classes VI to VIIISyllabus :The syllabus may be worked out as under:

a) For classes VI-VIII based on NCERT books

b) The syllabus for all classes VI – VIII may be divided as follows:

S1:Periodic Test-1: 30% of total syllabus for the Half Yearly exam

S2:Half Yearly Exam: 50% of total syllabus (Chapters taught from April to

September)

S3:Periodic Test -2: 30% of total syllabus for Annual Exam

S4: Annual Exam:20% of Syllabus of Half Yearly Exam and 80% of syllabus

for Annual Exam (Chapters taught from October to March)

Note: Details of Internal Assessment

1. Periodic Tests-5marks (Total marks obtained in the periodic test will be converted

into 5marks both in term-1 and 2)

2. Multiple Assessment- 5 marks (fortnightly tests + other forms of assessment done

by teacher converted into 5 marks.)

3. Portfolios-5marks (This includes Note Books, files, Summer Holiday HW etc.,

converted into 5 marks)
