SECTION 1SERVICING NOTES
UNLEADED SOLDERBoards requiring use of unleaded solder are printed with the lead-free mark (LF) indicating the solder contains no lead.(Caution: Some printed circuit boards may not come printed with
the lead free mark due to their particular size)
: LEAD FREE MARKUnleaded solder has the following characteristics. Unleaded solder melts at a temperature about 40 C higher
than ordinary solder. Ordinary soldering irons can be used but the iron tip has to be
applied to the solder joint for a slightly longer time. Soldering irons using a temperature regulator should be set to
about 350 C.Caution: The printed pattern (copper foil) may peel away if
the heated tip is applied for too long, so be careful! Strong viscosity Unleaded solder is more viscous (sticky, less prone to fl ow)
than ordinary solder so use caution not to let solder bridges occur such as on IC pins, etc.
Usable with ordinary solder It is best to use only unleaded solder but unleaded solder may
also be added to ordinary solder.
NOTE OF REPLACING THE TOUCH PANEL (TPS5001)Necessarily execute the calibration when replacing touch panel (TPS5001). Refer to test mode 10-4-4. Touch panel (page 15) for the calibration.
NOTE OF REPLACING THE MAIN BOARDNecessarily execute the Factory Reset of test mode when the MAIN board exchange. Refer to test mode 10-2. Shipment Set-ting (Ship) (page 13) for the Factory Reset. Also the writing work of data is necessary. Confi rm details to each service headquarters.

3 Attach the protection cover.
NoteAfter each use, detach the cradle from the dashboard or windshield.
Apply the adhesive sheet on the dashboard before installing the cradle,in case:
the suction cup does not stick firmly.Depending on the material of the dashboard, the suction cup may not stick firmly.
the material of the dashboard is softand deforms when pushed. As the attachment strength of suctioncup is high, the dashboard may deform.
Notes on use Choose a safe installation location
where it does not interfere with the operation of the airbag system.
Clean the attachment surfacebeforehand.
Choose the attachment locationcarefully, for example, by placing the sheet temporarily before finally applying. The sheet cannot be removedeasily once applied, as its adhesivestrength is high.Do not remove the sheet forcefully,as it may deform or damage the dashboard.
You should not reattach the sheet onceremoved, as the adhesive strength will be weaker.
Cradle shape differs depending on the model.

MAIN and SENSOR boards are multi-layer printed board.
However, the patterns of intermediate-layer have not been included in diagram.
The voltage and waveform of CSP (chip size package) cannot be measured, dbecause its lead layout is different from that conventional IC.
Note: Necessarily execute the Factory Reset of test mode when the MAIN board exchange. Refer to test mode 10-2. Shipment Setting (Ship) (page 13) for the Factory Reset. Also the writing work of data is necessary. Confi rm details to each service headquarters.
