SONO-VARIO Installation Images

Purpose: This document shows successful installations for the SONO-VARIO probe below clam-
gates. This type of installation is recommended for sand, gravel, and crushed stone.

Note: The probe can be adjusted in and out as with the pitch of the probe plate to assure the material
flows over the probe’s face for optimal readings.

Note: The probe should be pitched at 45° to 50° for sand. The sand should fall directly on the
rectangular plate in the center of the sensor. For gravel a pitch of 55° to 70°. Refer to the technical
manual for important details.
