Lesson Overview

• Looks at both math and art PLO’s for grade 2• Get the students to practice drawing shapes• Having the students choose a few different

colours to create a pattern with their shapes• Student will learn how to use a side of one

shape to create the same shape next to it

Materials

• Card stock paper• White crayons• Different colours of water colour paint• Paint brushes• Water dish - water

Preparation

• Have an example to show them– Have each step done to show

• Have all the materials• Work space – cleaned off desks

Techniques

• Drawing the shapes

• Learning what crayons and water colours do– How the paint repels off the crayons
