Enhanced PerformanceDIVERSE PRODUCT OPTIONS: More industries rely on accurate communication and sensing from fiber optics than ever before. Zeus developed an array of coatings, extruded sheathing, multi-lumens, and profiles to address these changing market needs. Our products protect optical fibers in applications that require mechanical strength as well as resistance to radiation, extreme temperatures, and chemicals. The Zeus team will work with you to develop a solution that ensures your fibers maintain integrity even in the harshest environments.

Critical ApplicationsDiverse products for use when optics are exposed to difficult working conditions and environmental extremes.

• Optical Fiber Coatings• Furcation Tubing / Sheathing - Standard

and custom sizes and tolerances with coloring options available

• Heat Shrinks - PTFE, FEP, PEEKshrink™, ETFE, PFA, and PTFE / FEP and FEP / EFEP Dual-Shrink™

• Aeos™ ePTFE - Our most flexible tubing• Custom Fillers - Glass additives enhance

bonding and control longitudinal change; carbon fiber improves crush resistance, and barium provides visibility for tubing under floroscopy

• Secondary / Value-add - Flaring, etching, drilling, and more

*PTFE is currently not available as an optical fiber coating but is available as extruded sheathing.

Rectangular sheathing can be used to protect ribbon fiber.

Ask about our diverse catalog of multi-lumens — tubes with separate channels to orient optical fibers or connectors and cables. Square, rectangular, and custom profile shapes are available in a variety of colors and resins.

Focus On Orientation

Low Friction Liner Fiber Optics For SensingZeus provides PTFE and FEP for lead-in tubes, connectors, and inner liners for fan out kits. These extruded parts provide low friction for insertion of optical fiber.

OPTICAL FIBER COATINGS AND SHEATHING: We offer PEEK coated optical fiber that can reach temperature levels of 572 °F (300 °C)*. These coated fibers minimize attenuation and provide abrasion protection.

We hold machine grade tolerances (~0.001” / 0.025 mm) on tubing used as sheathings in fiber optics. Engineered Surface options for reduced friction, and rectangular profiles can be used for ribbon sheathing. Fillers such as glass can be introduced to reduce elongation and promote bondability.

*Not recommended for dielectric applications in temperatures exceeding 260 °C (500 °F).
