Summer Travelling Tips to Keep Your Identity Safe
County Federal has partnered with CyberScout to offer comprehensive identity management services and tips for
travelling. Reduce the risk of having your identity stolen while enjoying your vacation with the family, simply remember these three easy tips.1. Book Your Trip with a Trusted Website – It can be tempting to take
advantage of a great vacation offer from an unknown website, but thesewebsites may be fraudulent. Consider booking with the more well-knownand trusted travel websites or book directly.
2. Use Public WiFi with Caution – Remember that “public” means everyone, even hackers. If you are usingunsecured WiFi, your personal data may be exposed. Rely on your cellular data or private networkswhen possible.
3. Increase Your Device Security – Protect your cell phone from pickpockets and make sure your device ispassword or pin-protected. Avoid data skimmers at charging stations by bringing your personal charger.
