NIBE PV is an integrated solution which is based on a fully modular system with eight basic sizes: 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21 & 24 kW. Each size consists of a number of base package with 10 panels and a nominal power of 3 kW, mounting parts and a suit- able inverter with communication module, all of which are ready for installation. NIBE PV comprises of monocrystalline silicon cell panels which use PERC technology, with an output of 300 Wp. The solar panels are elegant, all-black panels. NIBE PV harnesses sunlight all year round and converts it into electricity. NIBE PV can be connected to your NIBE heat pump* for maximum energy efficiency. Thanks to smart technology, the product gives you control over your energy consumption and will be a key part of your connected home. On the reverse of the solar panels there is a factory in-stalled connection box prepared with wiring for positiveand negative connections. The cables are fitted withquick-release connectors.

The electrical cables between the panels and the invertermust be double insulated and UV/weather-resistantPhotovoltaic cables, 4 mm² up to 100 m length (notsupplied).

The inverter is connected and fused to group central asthough it were a load with the same output. The inverterincludes a factory-fitted 300 mA earth-fault breaker. Ifthe inverter is to be connected to an external earth-faultbreaker, this must be 300 mA or larger.

On an annual basis, you obtain the maximum possiblebenefit from your solar cell package when it is used to-gether with a NIBE heat pump. The heat pump’s energyconsumption is often halved or even neutralised.

NIBE PV connected to your NIBE heat pump via a sup-plied communication module, which in turn can beconnected to NIBE Uplink. This system solution means

that the inverter’s information is shown in the heatpump. Thanks to smart technology, this system solutionprovides youwith control over your energy consumptionvia NIBE Uplink.

With the heat pump’s efficient control system and smartcommunication, the heat pump can adapt to the freesolar energy that is produced.

The surplus portion is supplied to the national grid foruse in the neighbourhood.When you produce your ownsolar electricity from solar cells, you are producing re-newable energy without any emissions, and with noworry about rising electricity prices.

Specially adapted roof brackets for tiled roofs, sheetmetal roofs, felt roofs or seamed sheet metal roofs. Thetype of roof bracket to be used must be specified whenordering. If the panels are installed in a different forma-tion, additional mounting materials may be required.

FUNCTIONS

NIBE UplinkWith NIBE Uplink and the Internet, you canobtain a quick overview and the current statusof the solar panel system on your property. You

obtain easy-to-grasp and good supporting data, whereyou can see the current power and the history. In theevent of any malfunction, you also receive an alarm dir-ectly to your e-mail, which allows you to take counterac-tion quickly.

This is included if you already have a NIBE machine thatcan handle NIBE Uplink. If you want to use NIBE Uplinkbut do not already have a NIBE machine, SMO 20 canbe used.

For communication with SMO 20, cable part no. 718576is required (ordered separately).

INSTALLATION

GeneralThe installation must only be carried out by competentpersonnel.

The enclosedmaterials are those required for the install-ations described in this product sheet. In special cases,they may need to be supplemented. If you are unsure,contact your supplier. Information regarding applicablestandards and regulations must be obtained prior to theinstallation and commissioning of the solar panel system.

Mounting

Each package can be expanded with additional panels,or you can choose not to install any panels. This deliversextremely good flexibility, allowing attractive roof install-ation. If you need a larger installation, it is perfectlypossible to expand it. In this case, you select multiplesof e.g. 24 kW, which produces an installation of e.g. 240kW. This can be done easily thanks to the modular sys-tem, and you will then need 10 x 8 basic kits, 10 x invert-ers and 10 x 8 sets of roof brackets.

Number of solar panels per string and per package

The table shows how many panels you can have perstring, as well as how many panels are standard andhow many the inverter can cope with. The inverter hasdual trackers, allowing the installation of different num-bers of panels per string. If the number of panels is notsufficient to achieve the minimum number for twostrings, you have to install all the panels in one string.
