Laura version 6.1.2.36 is now released.The latest version of the industry standard radiochromatography software Laura has now been released. As always the full set of release notes for this new version are available on the LabLogic web site so you are encouraged to look through these in their entirety, however, here are some of the most significant enhancements in this new version.

Support added for the Hidex 600SL Liquid Scintillation Counter.The industry has long been calling for a regulatory compliant solution for Liquid Scintillation Counting and now Laura v6.1.2 offers that solution with support of the Hidex 600SL.

For users of Tri-Carb’s or older systems such as Beckman counters this new functionality should be of great interest.

It means that users of Laura already will have a familiar software with all the tried and tested compliance features of Laura they already rely on.

For those who don’t yet use Laura they have a solution for compliance with LSC!

Event log utility added.A new utility has been added to Laura to log events.

This new function allows the user to quickly see a history of events or errors as they happen. This will be useful for users in the event of cell open as in the example below because it will be readily shown in the event log.

The ability to show Fraction collector vial number labels has been added to chromatograms for relevant data.

Batch results table added to the new report designer options.A new section is now available when creating a report template called Batch Results.

This new report section gives an easy to interpret overview of the data for each sample.

A new Audit trail section is available in the report designer.

New filter tool added to the batch history function.In order to help users identify the correct batch easily when using the batch history function a filter has been added.

This will allow users to filter batches by a particular data range for example. This should make it easier to use for users where there are multiple systems and large volumes of batches to search through.

The Instrument Performance Assessment function has been renamed Instrument Performance Tests.

This is to avoid confusion with new users who use Laura for LSC and had the old PE systems.

New ‘Save to PDF’ option has been added to the Batch Analysis dialogue.

This allows system managers and IT support to review the amount of data held in any project to inform about the possible storage requirements for each project.

A data size column has been added to the Project Manager window.

The logged on users current security level for the open project has been added to the status bar.

Support has been added for the Scan-RAM with the New LabLogic Apollo MCA and 3 point calibrations are also supported on this instrument combination.
