Introduction Congratulations to have acquired your LSQ Scale Torrey. We are sure that it has made the best investment for your business. The LSQ scale has been designed with highest technology remembering always the functionality and yields that your business requires. With the purpose of simplify the configuration and programming of your LSQ scale, the LSQ Net software has been developed, to install it just makes the following instructions.

LSQ NET Installation

To Install the Software LSQ NET, insert the CD-ROM included with your scale in the drive of CD-ROM. If your PC can’t install the Software automatic, execute the program INSTALAR.EXE. A Windows will be opened similar to next; you must only follow the instructions. Select the language of program install and continue the instruction that shown.

Starting with LSQ NET To start using the software LSQ NET, with the mouse do click over button Windows Start, select the folders PROGRAM, in this folder select the option LSQ NET.

The first time you run the program; it shows the next Windows giving Welcome. Version number depends on the installed software.

Press ACCEPT button to continue. It shows the next Window.

Type the company name and address. This information is used in the reports. After in data of system, as it show the next window. Type the parameters of according to its necessities. Date Format: Format that use to date. Sign money: Money Symbol to total. Sign to decimal: Separate decimal Symbol. Decimal Number: It is the number of decimal used in the price.

After you select option PARAMETERS OF COMMUNICATION. It shows the next window.

Initiating Session

Always that initiate the software LSQ NET you type the user name and the password to access the system. The System let you create any user with our password and different permissions.

The default user is ADMIN, it have not password. Press ACEPT button to continue, or CANCEL button to exit. The software does not allow into the system without user name and password.

Maintenance Menu

In the menu ADMINISTRATION you can add all the products, agents, ingredients, departments, scales and users; that you use in your company, next we will explain each one of these concepts and their procedure.

Products Master To access this option in the ADMINISTRATION menu, select PRODUCT MASTER. It shows the next window.

Create a new Product

To add a new products press button.

The System suggest the first value enable, you can change the suggest value if the code it does not exist in the system. The code can’t exceed of 999999.

The description of the product can’t be up to 52 characters. This allows only characters of programming keyboard of the scale.

The value is numeric used in the scale to remember a PLU. The maximum value allowed is 99999.

The value is decimal used to calculate the total in the scale. The maximum value allowed is of 999.99 when you have two decimals, 9999.9 when you have one decimal and 99999 when you don´t have decimals.

This is the percentage tax to increment the price. The max value to tax is 99%

This is the day to life before to expire. The max value is of 999.

It is a numeric value used to group the products and report detail. The max value is 99.

Is a numeric value used to classify the products and is used to report detail. The max value is 99.

Indicate the product type this can be weight or piece, so indicate that is possibility change the price in the transaction. The PLU type is next:

1- Weight * Lock (price can modify in the transaction). 2- Weight * Unlock (price can NOT modify in the transaction). 3- No Weight * Lock (price can modify in the transaction). 4- No Weight * Unlock (price can NOT modify in the transaction).

It reserved to future application. The max value 999999.

It indicates the index to ingredients that have referent to this product. The max value is 500.

After introduce all the information to it product. Press the button . The product was saved in the database. Searching a Product

To search products you select the option search.

After opened the next window, type the CODE or description that you want search. Press the ACCEPT button to begin the search.

If the product is found, the systems mark this position, else send then next message.

Delete a Product To eliminate a product, you must locate and select this product, press the

button . The system will confirm the action.

Press YES to continue or NO to cancel. Before eliminate a product verify that is not assigned to any scale. In case the product was assigned to a scale, and was deleted, when you release the due balance of sales of this product, the sales will pass to NON PLU weigh or unweigh according to the product type. Modify a Product To modify a product that was creating, you need locate the product throw option search. Also you can select the product in the list below of product master. Use the scroll bar to locate the product to modify, when you found the product do click over it to remember. You can use the button BACK and NEXT as third option

to locate the product. When you locate the product you can modify any attribute with exception of

code. When you finished the change, you press the next button to save the

change. If you choose no save the change press the next button . Products List

To obtain the report of current product in the system press the next

button . The report window was opened (see page 46). Changing Price To update non PLU price without search or press save button, select the

option in the price button with two options , CHANGE PRICES. The cursor editions begin in the first price of product list. You can modify a price with only typing the new value, press enter to save change and pass to the next product. This way you can update the price to all your products quickly. When

you don’t wish modify prices only press ESC or press button to close current windows. Changing Price by Rank In order to facilitate update of product rank, the system has update option

this price by rank. To access this option select the next button , CHANGE PRICE BY RANK. Immediately the next window was opened.

Type the product rank that you wishes modify the price, the code end it must be greater than the code initial. Select the type of change, by porcentage and by amount fixed. If you select the by porcentage, it is aplicated over each product. Although you select amount fixed, the quantity is aplicated over each product. Press the button ACCEPT to do the changes or CANCEL to abort. If the update price was correct the system shows next message. Assign a Department To assign department to a product, press the next button . The next Window was opened. Select a department from master and do double click over it, press key ENTER to assign, press key ESC to cancel. Before assign a department you must add the department preview in the department master. (see page 17) Assign Ingredients To assign ingredient to a product, press the next button . The next window was opened.

Select an ingredient from master and do double click over it, press key ENTER to assign, press key ESC to cancel. Before assign an ingredient you must add the ingredient preview in the ingredient master. (see page 16) Updating Only Price

If you wish update to the scale only the price, press the button with

the option , ONLY PRICE, the system connect all the scales, they have at least one product modified. The transmission window was opened. Updating All Products If you wish update in your scale all information modified press the

button , ONLY PRODUCTS, the system connect all the scales, if they have at least one product modified. The transmission window was opened.

Press button to close current window.

Agents Master To access this option, select MAINTENANCE option AGENTS MASTER. The Next Window was opened. Create New Agent The LSQ Scale can handle up to 20 different agents. To facilitate the programming agents name you must add it in the software LSQ NET before send

this to scale, in the software you can have more than 20 agents but in the scale

only assign 20. To create a new Agent, press the button .

Agent number must be of 1 to 200; it is used to obtain the report and used as reference of assign the scale.

Agent name must be even 17 characteres include space. The characteres allowed to name agent are the same to the programming keyboard LSQ Scale.

When you finish of modify the parameter, press the button , to save the information in the system. Erasing Agent

To delete an agent first select the agents from the list below.

Press the button , the system need confirm the action. Press YES to continue or NO to cancel. Before of delete an Agent, verify

that this is not assigned in any scale.

Updating Agents Select the Agent that you wish modify in the list below. The system shows

data in the cell edition, to finish update press the button and the changes will be save. Report Agent

To obtain the report from agents, press the button . The report agent window was opened (see page 45).

Press the button to close current window.

Ingredients Master To access this option, in the menu MAINTENANCE select option INGREDIENTS MASTER. The next window was opened.

Create a New Ingredient The LSQ Scale can handle up to 500 different ingredients. To facilitate the programming you must add it first in the software LSQ NET before send it to Scale.

To create a new ingredient, press the button .

The ingredient number is from 1 to 500, it will be relation with the products. The ingredient text is of even 249 characters with the space. The characters allow is the programming keyboard of Scale LSQ.

Once that finish of modify all datas, press the button , to save the information in the system.

Deleting Ingredients

To delete an ingredient first select the ingredient in the list below. After press

the button , the system confirms the action. Press YES to continue or NO to cancel. Before of delete an ingredient verify

that it is not assign it to a Scale. Modifying an Ingredient Select the ingredient that you wish update in the list below. The system shows the data ingredient in the cell edition, modify the name ingredient, to finish

press the button , it save the changes.

Departments Master To access this option in the menu MAINTENANCE select the option DEPARTMENTS MASTER the next window was opened.

Create a New Department The LSQ Scale can handle up to 99 different departments. To facilitate the programming agents name you must add it in the software LSQ NET before sent

this to scale. To create a new department, press the button .

The department number must be from 1 to 99, it will be relation with the products.

The name must be less than 17 characters with the spaces.

Once finished update all datas, press the button , to save the information in the system. Eliminate a Department

To eliminate a department first select the department from list below. After

press the button , the system confirms the action. Press YES to continue or NO to cancel. Before delete departments verify

that it is not assign it to a Scale. Update a Department Select the department that wish from the list below. The system shows the data of department in the cell edition, modify the name and to finish press the

button , this save the change.

Press button to close current window.

Scales Master To access this option in the menu MAINTENANCE select SCALE MASTER. It shows the next window.

Create a new Scale

To add a new scale, press the button .

It is the number to indentify the scale ID into the system. The system generates automatically. After you must select the type communication that will use for the scale, the

options are: If you select TCP/IP the next fields are enabling.

If you Scale have a network board, it must specify the IP address scale that use to communicate, and the format must be 255.255.255.0 depeding of your LAN (Local Area Network). (See the programming manual of the Scale page 26) When the connection select is by serial port you must select a port com1 or com2 or … etc. Immediately is enable the option baud, you must select the baud

configurate in the scale, the scale work to 19200 by default. (See the programming

manual of the Scale page 25).

After select the communication type, select the button to search the scale and obtain your data, serial number, capacity, minimun division, etc. If you have Scales connected to a network or by serial port, pressing this

button search the scale and bring your data.

It is the serial number, normally is found under the scale plate. It must be between A and L for the month and from 0 to 9 for the year and 5 digit for serial number.

It is the capacity of the scale.

It is the minimum division of the scale and the unit of measurement (u-m), in kg or lb

It is the description of the scale Immediately the system send the next message to save the data obtained from the scale. Press YES to save. Eliminate a Scale

To delete a scale first select scale from the list below. After press the

button , the system confirms the accion.

Press YES to continue or NO to cancel. Modifying a Scale Select the Scale that you wish modify from the list below. The system shows the data scale in the cell edition, modify the data of scale, and to finish press the

button and the changes are saves. Report from Scale

To obtain the report of the scale that actually is found in the system press

the button . It open the report windows (see page 50).

Press the button to close the current window.

User To access this option in menu MAINTENANCE select USER, this opens the next window.

Create a User The LSQ NET Software allows add any user with different attributes with the purpose of assuring the information that found in the scale. To create a new users

press the button .

It is the user name that the system requires when the seccion start.

The user predefine is ADMIN and it have not password. If you wish establish a password to restrict the access to the system.

The identificator of users are the initials, used by the system to register who do each operation in the system. Attributes Using mouse mark the attributes assigned to the user. The options marked are allow in the system by this user.

Once finished of update all data, press the button , to save the information in the system. Eliminate a User

To delete a user, first locate the user using the buttons ,

once locate the user press the button , the system confirms the action.

Press YES to continue or NO to cancel.

Modifying a User

To delete a user first locate the user, using the buttons , once

locate the user, you modify our data. To finish, press the button , to save the information in the system.

If you wish cancel the change in the user press the button .

Start Session To finish the session from current user, in the menu MAINTENANCE select the option START SESSION. The next window is opened. Type the user name and password with you wished work and press the button ACCEPT to continue or CANCEL to cancel

Change the PASSWORD If you wish modify the password of user, in the menu MAINTENANCE select CHANGE OF PASSWORD. The next window is open.

First type the current password to validate the user.

Second type the new password.

And confirm the new password.

Press the ACCEPT button to save the changes or the button CANCEL to abort.

NETWORK

To define all the information that will use the scale, as the products and the agents it´s necessary that they are assigned to the scale. In the menu NETWORK

select NET DISTRIBUTION. With it the next window is opened.

Here shows all the scale defines into the system.

Create a Group of Scale Each Scale into the system is able to handle its information independently of other. It is an advantage when the scale works in different departments, although is not necessary that it have the same information.

In case that exist different scale in the same department, you can wish that the scale have the same information all time. This way when the price is change of a product, it is to all scales. If you have any agents into the same department, each agent use the available scale in this moment.

To create a group, use a mouse. Position the mouse pointer over the part GROUP AND SCALE. Do a click with the right button over this window and show the next options.

Select the option NEW GROUP, the next window is opened to add the name

group.

Type the name group and press the button ACCEPT. The system shows the next message. Press ACCEPT button to continue. Grouping Scales To join several Scales into a group, use the Mouse doing click with the left button over scale that you wish move and drag it over group and then loosen the button mouse. In the same way it makes these steps with all your scale, that you want to group.

Eliminate a Group of Scale Before delete a group, you must remove all the scales into the group. To remove a scale, using the mouse, do click with the left button over scale move it and drag scale outside the group. Then loosen the mouse. Once remove all the scale outside the group, do click with the right button over the group that you wish delete and select the option DELETE GROUP, with this the group is eliminated. Configuration To show the scales or group’s configuration. In the toolbar in NET DISTRIBUTION select the option CONFIGURATION READ. To send it without read configuration you select the option CONFIGURATION UPDATE. With the groups the option CONFIGURATION READ is disabling and with the scale is enable Any option opened the next window.

General

The Scroll message is a text of publicity that shows the scale; it shows the message when any transaction is not made. The length of character must be 60.

The ingredient number indicates the line that will show in a sale by product, it is when the ingredients are included in the format. It is available only to label or paper by product.

The number headle indicates the line that will show in a sale by product, it is when the headle are included in the format. This is enabling only with customer format.

It defines the contrast level in the paper printer the value are 1-5.

It defines the contrast level in the label printer the value are 1-5.

It indicate that need an Agent before making a transaction. You need to have Agents in the Agent master and Agent Memory of Scale.

It allows to do a transaction without remember a PLUs.

It allows entering the PROGRAMMING MENU in the scale for keyboard of PROGRAMMING MENU.

Lock to add products by programming easy.

Disable cartridge when there are change in the paper, it allow the system that configurate print format.

It allows to do discount in the transaction by brief. If it is marked, required password by transaction, the system solicits the supervisor password.

Bar Code To show this window does click with the mouse over tab BAR CODE. The next window is opened. You can choose one of the different predefined barcodes. The selection depend if the print format is by product or by brief. Your can add barcode customized accord to necessities. It allows letters for customized barcode are the follow. x – Padding Character w – Weight of the sale c – Code product t – Total a – Agent Number n – Quantity products of the sale p – Prefix

The LSQ Scale has any predefine messages text, these are customized, and this is used to print. To show the define text Window do click over tag TEXT. The next window is opened.

It is the text used to identify the weight in the briefs or labels.

It is the text used to identify the product price in the briefs or labels.

The LSQ Scale has any print format by product or by brief these are used to print sales. To show this window, do click over tag PRINT FORMAT. The next window is opened.

Paper Type. Define the way when the sales are printer, it can be in a paper large or in a label.

Print Type. Define if the sale was by product in each printer or if the sale allow totalize several products in a brief, before print. The detail option is the same by brief but add a small summary of sale at the end of the impression (see the programming manual of LSQ Scale). Format. Define the formats used to print sales (see the programming manual of LSQ Scale). The scale has several format predefine, allow customized a format to each print type. Print Format Customized To customize a print format you choose the option customized and after

press the button the next window is opened.

Define the width of paper print, the maximum value is 56.

Define the length of brief print (only to brief) the maximum value is 99.

Define the gap between a brief and the next brief (only to brief with gap).

Field of Data The print area is divided in 20 row and 3 columns. To add a new data field in a customized form, do click with right button and the next list is open. If you add a new data field you select FIELD option. In this moment shows the next list options. You can select a data field of the list, showed in the right window. Select a field with the left button of mouse and do click on the list and drags towards the customized format. The field is placed in a position specifies. You must considered that any fields can’t share the same row with other field as the Headed, the ingredient, code, text message, space, etc. Font field To modify the font of a field, do click with left button over the field that you wish change font and the next list is opened. Select the option FONT the next list option is opened. Select a font and do click with the left button. Eliminate a Data Fields To eliminate a data field in customized format, do click with left button over the field. The next list is opened.

Select the option DELETE and the field was eliminated of customized format. If wish save the change in the customized format, press the button ACCEPT or press the button CANCEL to cancel the changes. Headlines

The LSQ Scale has 10 row headed customized. Do click over tag Headlines. The next window is opened.

Description. It is the content of headle this can up to 17 characters. The characteres allowed are the programming keyboard of scale. Font. It is the type letter used to print the headles. The type letters are the next: 1 – 8x16 dots 2 – 16x16 dots 3 – 16x24 dots 4 – 24x24 dots 5 – 24x32 dots 6 – 16x32 dots Alingnment. It is the position of headle in the paper or brief. The options possible are the next.

C – Center D – Right I – Left Passwords

The LSQ Scale has two passwords to valid the access to the important function. Do click with the mouse over tag BAR CODE. The next window is opened.

It is the password that need the scale to allowed into programming, used the key programming or the keyboard of PROGRAMMING MENU.

It is the passwords that need the scale to allow discount or devolution, while it is required for the scale. Send Configuration to Scale

To make it press the button . It opens the windows transmission data. Wait even finish of communication with each one scale or group.

To close this window, press the button . PLUs To see the PLUs programmed in the scale or scale group of scale. In the tool bar into NET DISTRIBUTION select the scale or group of scale after the option

PLU’s and PLUs MEMORIES. This option will open the next window.

To close this window, press the button. Direct Access To show the configuration of keyboard direct access, press the

button . With this the next window is opened, with the access direct assigned.

The system assigns automaticaly the 72 directs access, the first 72 PLUs that assign to the scale by the system. If you wish modify some direct access only select the PLU that wish of the list, do click with left button over the PLU and without loosen the button to even drag to the mouse is on the key that you wish program the access direct of PLU. The direct access can assign to the agent and PLUs

To eliminate a direct access, position with the mouse on direct access that you wish delete, do click with right button. The system asked if you wish eliminate the direct access. Press YES to confirm or NO to cancel.

Once that finish assign all the PLU’s, press the button to hide the distribution of direct access. Reading the Direct Access To read the direct access current programmed in the scale press the

button , the system begins to read the direct access programmed in the scale, at the end of read the next window is opened. Press the button REPLACE ACCESS to overwrite the direct access or press button CLOSE to close the window. This option is not available for groups.

Sending PLUs to Scale Once that finished select all the PLU’s that you include in the scale, you need transmit the information to the scale, select some the next options. All Update. Transmit all PLUs to the scale. Only Select. Transmit only the PLUs that were selected in the list. Only Direct Access. Transmit only the configuration of the direct access. Any options open the window data transmition. Wait for finish the communication with each scale.

To close this window, press the button . TARES To see the programmed tares in the scale or group of scale, in the tool bar in NET DISTRIBUTION select the option READ TARES. To send a configuration, select the option TARES UPDATE.

The system opened the next window. This option is not available for group

scale.

The LSQ scale can store 20 programmable tares. All the tares must be programmed in function of minimum division of scale. Send the Tares to Scale Once finish all the tares, it´s necessary that transmit the information to the

scale. To send data press the button . In this moment the Window data transmit is opened. Wait for finish of transmit to each scale.

To close this window, press the button . DATE TIME

When you unpack the LSQ scale the date and time is not configurate, to

update it, first select the scale and press the button . The window of data transmit were opened. Wait to finish the communication

with each scale.

If you wish save the ingredients in a file, press the button SAVE AS. The next window is open to save the ingredients file.

Write the file name to identify the ingredients of this scale, press the button SAVE to save the file or button CANCEL to cancel. To close the window, press the button . Agents

To see the agent that are programmed in the scale or group of scale. In the tool bar of NET DISTRIBUTION you select the scale and press the option AGENT. To send a configuration to scale select the AGENT MEMORIES option. The next window is opened.

Copying an Agent The scale originally has not an agent assigned. To assign an agent press

the button . The LIST AGENT MASTER is opened. Use the Mouse or the keyboard and select the agents that you wish copy to

the scale or group of scale. Once select the agent press the button . With this the agents were copied to the list of scale.

To hide the LIST AGENT MASTER press the button . Eliminate an Agent

If you wish delete an agent of list of agent, you select the agents and press

the next option . The systems need that comfirm the action.

Press YES to confirm or NO to cancel.

If you wish modify some direct access only select the Agent that wish of the list, do click with left button over the Agent and without loosen the button to even drag to that the mouse is over square that you wish program the access direct of Agent.
