SOFiSTiKASE3D Finite Element Analysis & Design
Besides slabs and disks, more and morecomplex 3D structures are analysed as anentire system. With the module ASE, theuser is supplied with a very powerful toolfor the analysis of such projects.
ASE-systems are entered via SOFiPLUS orMONET. Depending on the installed modu-les,ASE can be used for building design, tun-nel design, bridge design, pre-stressed con-crete design, composite design for linear,non-linear and dynamical analysis.
Pre-processing■ SOFiPLUS-X, Monet or CADINP
Elements■ 4-node isoparametric shell element■ 3D continuum element■ Membrane elements■ Non-linear contact elements■ Non-linear bedding elements■ Bedded QUAD-elements■ Piles■ Truss members and cables■ Bending beams■ Linear and non-linear springs■ Line and area bedding■ Half space elements
Cross Sections■ Table with steel design cross-sections
according to DIN, EC, BS, US, JS ...■ Standard cross-section library (T-beams,
circle, square, tube)■ Cable cross sections (e.g. DIN 3052 ff.)■ Geometry-free entry only via parameters■ Any thick- or thin walled polygonal cross-
sections■ Polygonal cross-sections with cavities■ Correct shear stress, shear centre, torsio-
nal moment of inertia■ Composite cross-sections■ Comfortable graphical CS-generation and
-management with WinAQUA■ DXF- Interface■ Interactive input e.g. of welding lines, shear
sections, reinforcement, effective width
Materials■ Material database (DIN, EC, BS,ACI,
ASSHTO etc.)■ Non-linear material law for concrete and
metals■ Interactive input of stress- strain curves■ Freely definable material attributes
Analysis Capabilities■ Limit load iteration, Eigenmodes, elasto-
plastic zones■ Non-linear material behaviour■ Stability■ Geometrical non-linearities■ Form finding■ Vertical adjustment■ Warping force torsion■ Eigenvalues, - modes■ Primary states of stress■ Primary states of deformation■ Cables with internal sag
Superposition■ Comfortable Windows interface with
WinMAXIMA■ Automatical Min/Max determination of
internal forces and moments, supportreactions, deformations, tensions, beddingforces
■ Enveloping curve for extreme values■ Alternative load cases and groups
