TRADITIONAL BIG BROTHER BIG SISTER PROGRAM

a match between a caring adult and a child 6-18 years of age, in need of a mentor a volunteer mentor is a friendly, concerned, mature, stable adult 18 years or older a mentor and child spend time together weekly, participating in mutually agreed upon activities

  

IN-SCHOOL MENTORING a program that takes place at the child’s school,

during the school year the In-School mentor spends one hour per week during the school day doing fun activities of mutual interest with the youth in need of a mentor 

BIG BUNCH PROGRAM provides adult role models and positive peer

interaction in a group setting for children who are waiting for a suitable match also for children with different needs than those in the one-to-one program Big Bunch Leaders commit to taking 2-3 children on outings approximately once per month

GO GIRLS! HEALTHY BODIES, HEALTHY MINDS a mentoring program designed to encourage

participation in physical activity, healthy eating choices, and the development of a positive self-image, among girls aged 11 to 14 seven sessions led by women mentors aged 18-25 incorporates fun educational games and activities to stimulate relationship-building between the mentors and girls, and self-reflection and group discussions about healthy living and emotional, social and cultural issues

GAME ON! EAT SMART. PLAY SMART. LIVE SMART! a group-based mentorship program for boys in grades 6-8

(ages 11-14) seven weekly sessions designed to promote healthier lifestyles, increase self-esteem, and strengthen relationships among male participants trained male mentors lead their group through fun physical activities, games, and discussions topics addressed include nutrition, media influences, gender stereotyping, bullying, communication, self-esteem, body image, physical activity, and risk-taking

ONTARIO EARLY YEARS CENTRE  Ontario Early Years Centre is a place for children

up to the age of six and their parents and caregivers to take part in programs and activities together.

The Niagara Falls Ontario Early Years Centre also brings together in one location information about children's services and programs in the community.

A free family support program for parents and child care providers of children aged up to 6yrs.

health insurance plan. It helps to find out what family health team, Nurse

practionar, Diabetes education programs and other services can do for the client and family

Provides information about the nearest emergency services in the local area.

Availability of diagnostic services helps in managing diabetes mellitus.

Provides access to various books, literature and educative material for all age groups in the community

This organisation provides following services:SERVING: They serve students and families in all 12

municipalities. The DSBN also warmly welcomes students from across the globe. Their schools serve students from 38 different countries speaking 40different languages.

EDUCATING: Over 36,000 students from JK to grade 12 in our 88 public elementary school and 18 public secondary schools
