Challenges/Rewards
Challenges: finding primary sources and artifacts, figuring out what is most appropriate for this grade level, keeping a main focus (Reconstruction Era can be easily broadened)
Rewards: full lesson plans, sharing with my CT, knowing where to get sources/information, connecting class lessons/pedagogy with our own ideas, learning about an important time period of our country’s history
Closing
Relevance: SOL VUS. 7 Civil War and Reconstruction: 1860-1877 and SOL VUS. 8 Reshaping the Nation and the Emergence of Modern American: 1877 to 1930s
Perspective on our development, suffering, and new foundations
