I am going to Tilles

Center for the

Performing Arts.

When I get there, I will see many buildings and other people.

I will enter the building and may have to use stairs.

There will be many other people there to see the performance. It might be crowded or noisy. I can cover my ears or ask to go to a quiet space.

Before the show, there will be some fun activities in the lobby. I can write a letter to Santa, play games, and meet Mrs. Claus. I do

not have to do any activity I do not want

to do.

I might have to wait in line before entering the theatre.

When I get inside the theatre, an usher may show me to my seat. I may not choose my own seat.

I will sit in my seat and wait for the show to start. The show will start at 2:00pm.

When the show begins, the theatre might get dark, and the lights on stage will change during the performance. The lights will never go all the way off. I will be safe with my family and friends.

During the performance I will sit and watch. If I see something during the show that I like, I can clap my hands or maybe laugh. If there is something I don’t like, I can cover my eyes or ears.

If I need a break, I can leave the theatre with an adult and go to a quiet space or use the bathroom.

The quiet space will be in the Founders Room. There will be some sensory toys to play with in here.

I will see a show called

featuring Dream Snow.

There will be four stories in the show.

1. Brown Bear, Brown Bear

2. 10 Little Rubber Ducks

3. Dream Snow

4. The Very Hungry Caterpillar

These stories were originally written as books.

The stories are told with a lot of puppets.

There are many actors in the show. They will be playing more than one character and using puppets.

When the performance is over, the cast may take a bow. The audience members will clap. It may be loud. I can cover my ears if I need to.

When the show is over, many people will exit the building together. I will be safe with my family and friends.
