Prophet Philip Banda

One essential condition for having a successful life is to have a clearly

defi ned, steadily pursued objective. If you don’t have one you are like a boat on high seas, drifting dangerously without con-trol. This means that you are controlled by the winds of habits and waves of circumstances. Do you have purpose and destiny in life? Do you have faith enough to die for what you believe? If not, look to Jesus Christ. He is both our pattern and inspiration in life.

You may have talent, intelligence or special abilities but without an objective you will end up in frustration, bitterness and disappointment. Your life is not a dash or sprint; rather it is a marathon, a race. Not all people fi nish a race, so run at your own pace. Lay aside every weight, anything that hinders you or gets in the way. We lose the ability to run the race successfully when we take our eyes off Jesus Christ. He is the author and perfecter of our faith. People need Christ. If Jesus starts your life, He will also fi n-ish it. He never starts anything He’s not capable of fi nishing. You are not going to collide with success, you have to plan for it. Legacy doesn’t just happen, you work towards it.

To only dream of the person you are supposed to be is to

waste the person you are. No-body is so disappointed, so un-happy, as the person who longs all his life to be somebody other than who he is

If you want to be successful in life be-come a professional problem-solver and turn your obstacles into opportunities. Opportunities come once sometimes. Falling down is not the end, but staying there. A negative person asks the ques-tion “why me?” When you say “why me?” you will be scared to face the fu-ture. Challenges are common to all of us, but we must change them into positive expectations. In life never have worry, because worry creates anxiety. What worries are holding you back? When you don’t deal with your present properly, you will have no proper tomorrow. Have the courage to face life, anyone can quit. Be patient, start small where you are with what you have. In life the most important thing is to start. Start small and don’t be afraid to give your best to small jobs. Every time you conquer a small job, it makes you stronger for the next one. If you do the little jobs well, the big ones will tend to take care of themselves. Be careful how you treat your present, because your future comes one hour at a time. Don’t be discouraged when you make progress, no matter how

small. A successful person does what they can with what they have where they are. If you are failing to do little things, you will never be given big ones. Be daring to take those small steps. When you take those small steps you will real-ize that you are not where you want to be, but you are not where you used to be. Take your own baby steps, they are lead-ing you somewhere. Win a little now, hold your ground, do it again and later you will realize you are holding more ground. Victory is not won in miles, but in inches. If you don’t have an inch you will not have a mile. Worry more about the small things in life. Do the little things now and the big things will come later. The most important thing is to begin, though the fi rst step is the hardest. Despise not the small beginnings. If you don’t have the small beginnings, the big you want won’t come. Value the small things.

In life to succeed you have to be con-sistent. To only dream of the person you are supposed to be is to waste the person you are. Nobody is so disappointed, so unhappy, as the person who longs all his life to be somebody other than who he is. If you carry two faces under one cap, when reality comes it will be very easy for you to quit. Be who you are. It is better to be hated for what you are than loved for what you are not.

So everybody wants to succeed…“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us…” Hebrews 12:1.

All of us are anxious to improve our situation, • but are unwilling to improve ourselves

No one will fi ght to win if they don’t know • victory is possible

It is not problems that are weighing you down, • but your lack of vision

Make a conscious decision to succeed in life•

A quitter thinks differently from a climber, • although they have the same mountain

Achievers see pain and trial as a healthy sign • to build character

To be on the road to signifi cance choose to • have a different spirit/attitude

Life is a terrible thing if you chance it•

You had great dreams of what you wanted to • become in the future, but you realized that the road to your dreams is not a bed of roses

You are not too small not to succeed or too big • not to fail in life

Life is not a dash or sprint, life is a

marathon
