SNIFFPHONESMARTPHONE-AIDED DISEASE DETECTION FROM EXHALED BREATH
PRESENTED BY:
PROF. HOSSAM HAICK (PROJECT’S COORDINATOR)
CANCER EXHIBITS A UNIQUE CHEMICAL FINGERPRINT IN EXHALED BREATH
2
EACH DISEASE HAS A UNIQUE BREATHPRINT
Clinical studies on more than 8000 individuals in 19 clinical centers worldwide have shown that each disease has its own unique volatile molecular print and, therefore, the presence of one cancer would not screen out others – a prerequisite for personalized screening and diagnosis in a noninvasivemanner.

THE WAY TOWARDS POINT-OF-CARE BREATH ANALYSER
The SNIFFPHONE project the vision for PoC breath analyzerthrough systemic miniaturisation and integration of heterogeneous technologies, including nanoelectronics, microelectro-mechanics, microfluidics, bio/chemical principles and microwave technologies.
