Snap BowlSnap bowl is an app designed for people who like to have their inspirations documented. This app allows the user to take what their eyes see, take what inspires them and remember it, to help them remember exactly what inspired them in the first place. It is an app that will allow users to look back at what they’ve accumulated and be inspired by the world around them at all times. Dedicated to, but in no means restricted to a person with a designers eye, keeping track of that sign with the type you liked or that window sign with the colors you loved, you now have a way to remember and organize these everyday things that you found inspiration from.

Purpose: Keeping track of inspiration by means of photographs and organization, through your own eyes and the eyes of others.

Who is it for: Creative people who have a knack for organization.

Core functionality: To organize and track yours and others inspira-tion

Consolidated definition statement: App for people/designers to track their inspirations and keep them organized

Features that fit the definition:

Bowls: What you separate your photos into, the place you sort your photographs into specific titles that relate to what inspired you about them.

Tags: The way to separate and share your photos with the world, also allows you to see what inspires everyone else

Map: A map and search that allows you to look region/city/ specific

User Personas

William Partel, 25

William is a 25 year old motorcycle enthusiast who lives in Southern California, He goes to motorcycle shows and does research about his hobby often. William was looking for a way to organize the cerain things he liked about different bikes, he liked the seat on this one but the colors and this one and Snap App fit those qualifications. Snap app allowed Wil-liam to keep track of his different bikes and the things he loved about each, it also allowed him to search for motorcycles around the world and see upcoming trends or different applications of design depending on where the picture came from.

Lou Quintel, 19

Lou is a 19 year old blogger from France, she spends half of her day, every other day huddled behind her computer and updat-ing her blog, when she isn’t doing that she is and taking instagram pictures, hanging with friends and wandering around France. Lou really loves to take photos, and looking for inspiration in the world around her. She often kept folders of her own personal inspirations that she uses to inspire her own website and the things she applies there. Snap App is a perfect way for Lou to remember all the things she sees that aren’t possibly, instagram worthy but definitely stood out to her, she can seperate them into their own folders and when she one day is writing a post about “food”, she can look in her Snap App food bowl and remember that really great diner she ate at a couple weeks ago.

Zachary Wims, 23

Zachary is a photographer who lives in Austin, Texas. Zachary loves to photograph everything, but specializes in taking photos of concerts and is always looking for innovative ways to photograph events that have 43892 other photographers there at the same time. He is constantly taking photos of different lighting, natural or other wise with his iphone so he can remember where he was standing and how it hit, or he plays around with where he is standing and angles to apply to his concert photos or otherwise. Snap App allows him to take these photos, but also dedicate them to their own place, so when Zachary is at a show he can pull out his phone, look at his inspirational angles and apply them right then and there instead of losing time scrolling through an endless sea of photos. Zachary also enjoys looking through the world search with such tags as “lighting” and discovering new techniques to apply to his own photography.
