In air systems application only up to a max. pressure of 50 bar. The hoselines are suitable for the temperature range from -40 °C to +100 °C. 1.1 Field of application of heat protection hose HSS The heat protection hose offers protection against liquid metal splashes, weld sparks, and in short-time exposure to flames and at high temperatures. The external silicone coating makes the hose resistant to oil, water and many solvents. Lasting protection at high temperatures can be achieved only with sufficient air volume between the line to be protected and the heat protection hose. This fact has been taken into account in the assignment of the heat protection hose to the hoseline as in SN 756. The heat protection hoses are so dimensioned that they have to be installed prior to the installation of the hose fittings. The heat protection hose is fastened with a hose clamp as in DIN 3017. If the protection hose is put over the hoseline subsequently, the width across corners of the union nut and the diameter of the SAE collar must be taken into account when the heat protection hose is specified. (Table on page 4) Then the heat protection hose is fastened on the hoseline tip with only one pipe clamp as in DIN 3017 on one end of the hoseline to enable air circulation between protection hose and hoseline. 2 Dimensions and designations 2 SN hoses from DN 6 to DN 8 (according to DIN EN 853) Designation of a hose for high-pressure hoselines (H) of nominal diameter DN 8 and a length of 500 mm: Hose SN 757 - H 8 x 500 Continued on pages 2 to 4 Bearbeitet: Normung The reproduction, distribution and utilization of this document as well as the disclosure of its content to others without prior explicit written consent of SMS Demag AG is prohibited.
