How Hookah Works Inhaling through the pipe/hose increases

pressure in jar. Air moves into the bowl above which the

charcoal and tobacco are placed. Lit charcoal heats the air. Air evaporates the tobacco smoke Smoke goes through the water jar Heat is lost as it makes its way to the top of

the jar to which the hose is attached Smoker takes in this smoke and then releases

it as with a cigarette.
