English English Smith & Nephew ACCU-PASS™ Disposable Suture Shuttle Device Description The Smith & Nephew ACCU-PASS Disposable Suture Shuttle is a disposable suture passing instrument that may be reloaded to facilitate multiple uses during a single surgical procedure. The monofilament is threaded through a hole located in the handle of the instrument and forms a loop at the proximal end. The instrument is available in various shaft tip angles to allow for enhanced accessibility. The handle has a thumb wheel to facilitate suture manipulation once the suture is captured via the monofilament loop. WARNING: Neither the ACCU-PASS Disposable Suture Shuttle nor any of its parts are for implantation. Contents 1 ea. Suture shuttle – stainless steel shaft with ABS handle 2 ea. Indications for Use The Smith & Nephew ACCU-PASS Disposable Suture Shuttle is intended for use in surgical procedures where suturing is indicated. Contraindications None known. Instructions for Use Reloading The Smith & Nephew ACCU-PASS Disposable Suture Shuttle may be reloaded to facilitate multiple uses during the same surgical procedure. The monofilament may be reloaded to form a loop at the proximal end or to have the free ends of the monofilament deployed from the proximal end. Crimping The monofilament supplied with the ACCU-PASS Suture Shuttle and the 10-pack are provided crimped. If using monofilament that has not been crimped, follow the instructions below. Fold the monofilament in half and pass the free ends through one of the crimp holes, labeled as either size #1 or #0 and located adjacent to the wheels on the handle. Loop 1. Fold the monofilament in half. 2. Place the folded end of the monofilament into the hole located in the instrument handle; manually advance the monofilament. 3. Advance the wheel until the monofilament is engaged. 4. Using the wheel, advance the monofilament until the material forms a loop at the proximal end of the instrument. 5. Check to insure proper function by deploying the loop through the tip of the instrument shaft. Free Ends 1. Fold the monofilament in half. 2. Place the free ends of the monofilament into the hole located in the instrument handle; manually advance the monofilament. 3. Advance the wheel until the monofilament is engaged. 4. Insure that the monofilament ends deploy through the tip of the instrument shaft. Single Strand Monofilament 1. Place the free end of the monofilament into the hole located in the instrument handle; manually advance the monofilament. 2. Advance the wheel until the monofilament is engaged. 3. Das Instrument ist mit verschiedenen Krümmungen der Schaftspitze erhältlich, wodurch ein besserer Zugang zum Operationssitus erzielt wird.     Device DescriptionThe Smith & Nephew ACCU-PASS Disposable Suture Shuttle is a disposable suture passing instrument that may be reloaded to facilitate multiple uses during a single surgical procedure. The monofilament is threaded through a hole located in the handle of the instrument and forms a loop at the proximal end. The instrument is available in various shaft tip angles to allow for enhanced accessibility. The handle has a thumb wheel to facilitate suture manipulation once the suture is captured via the monofilament loop.

    Instructions for Use

    ReloadingThe Smith & Nephew ACCU-PASS Disposable Suture Shuttle may be reloaded to facilitate multiple uses during the same surgical procedure. The monofilament may be reloaded to form a loop at the proximal end or to have the free ends of the monofilament deployed from the proximal end.

    CrimpingThe monofilament supplied with the ACCU-PASS Suture Shuttle and the 10-pack are provided crimped. If using monofilament that has not been crimped,followtheinstructionsbelow.

    Fold the monofilament in half and pass the freeendsthroughoneofthecrimpholes,labeled as either size #1 or #0 and located adjacent to the wheels on the handle.

    Loop1. Fold the monofilament in half.

    2. Place the folded end of the monofilament into the hole located in the instrument handle; manually advance the monofilament.

    3. Advance the wheel until the monofilament is engaged.

    4. Usingthewheel,advancethemonofilamentuntil the material forms a loop at the proximal end of the instrument.

    5. Check to insure proper function by deploying the loop through the tip of the instrument shaft.

    Free Ends1. Fold the monofilament in half.

    2. Place the free ends of the monofilament into the hole located in the instrument handle; manually advance the monofilament.

    3. Advance the wheel until the monofilament is engaged.

    Instruções de utilização

    RecarregamentoO Passador de Sutura Descartável ACCU-PASS da Smith & Nephew pode ser recarregado para facilitar várias utilizações durante o mesmo procedimento cirúrgico. O monofilamento pode ser recarregado para formar uma ansa na extremidade proximal ou para remover as extremidades livres do monofilamento da extremidade proximal.

    PregueamentoO monofilamento fornecido com o Passador de Sutura ACCU-PASS e a embalagem de 10 unidades são fornecidos pregueados. Caso vá utilizar um monofilamento que não esteja pregueado,sigaasinstruçõesabaixo.

    Dobre o monofilamento a meio e passe as três pontas através de um dos orifícios pregueados,comaindicaçãodetamanhon.º 1 ou n.º 0 e localizados adjacentes às rodas na pega.

    Ansa1. Dobre o monofilamento ao meio.

    2. Coloque a extremidade dobrada do monofilamento no orifício localizado na pega do instrumento; avance manualmente o monofilamento.

    3. Avance a roda até que o monofilamento fique engatado.

    4. Utilizandoaroda,avanceomonofilamentoaté que o material forme uma ansa na extremidade proximal do instrumento.

    5. Verifique para se assegurar do funcionamento correcto removendo a ansa através da ponta do eixo do instrumento.

    Extremidades livres1. Dobre o monofilamento ao meio.

    2. Coloque as extremidades livres do monofilamento no orifício localizado na pega do instrumento; avance manualmente o monofilamento.

    3. Avance a roda até que o monofilamento fique engatado.

    4. Assegure-se que as extremidades do monofilamento são removidas através da ponta do eixo do instrumento.

    Monofilamento de um fio1. Coloque a extremidade livre do monofilamento

    no orifício localizado na pega do instrumento; avance manualmente o monofilamento.

    BeschrijvingvanhetproductDe Smith & Nephew ACCU-PASS-hechtspoel voor eenmalig gebruik is een disposable instrument voor het doorvoeren van hechtdraad en kan opnieuw geladen worden voor herhaald gebruik tijdens een enkele chirurgische procedure. Het monofilament wordt door een insteekopening in de handgreep van het instrument gevoerd en vormt een lus aan het proximale uiteinde. Het instrument is verkrijgbaar met verschillende tiphoeken van de schacht voor een betere toegankelijkheid. De handgreep heeft een duimwieltje voor het manoeuvreren van de hechting zodra deze in de monofilamentlus zit.

    Opnieuw ladenDe Smith & Nephew ACCU-PASS-hechtspoel voor eenmalig gebruik kan opnieuw geladen worden zodat het meerdere malen gebruikt kan worden tijdens dezelfde chirurgische procedure. Het monofilament kan herladen worden door een lus te vormen aan het proximale einde of door de losse einden van het monofilament aan het proximale einde in de uitgangspositie te brengen.

    VerzegelenHet monofilament dat bij de ACCU-PASS-hechtspoel wordt geleverd alsmede de 10-stuksverpakking worden verzegeld geleverd. Alsumonofilamentgebruiktdatnietisverzegeld,moet u de instructies hieronder volgen.

    Vouwhetmonofilamentintweeënenvoer de vrije uiteinden door één van de verzegelingsopeningen naast de wieltjes op dehandgreep,gemerktmaatnr.1ofnr.0.

    Lus1. Vouw het monofilament dubbel.

    2. Plaats het gevouwen einde van het monofilament in de opening in de hendel van het instrument; schuif het monofilament met de hand door.

    3. Draai het wieltje naar voren tot het monofilament in positie is.

    4. Schuif het monofilament door middel van het wieltje naar voren tot het materiaal een lus aan het proximale einde van het instrument vormt.

    5. Controleer op juist functioneren door de lus door de punt van de schacht van het instrument in de uitgangspositie te brengen.

    Losse einden1. Vouw het monofilament dubbel.

    2. Plaats de losse einden van het monofilament in de opening in de hendel van het instrument; schuif het monofilament met de hand door.

    3. Draai het wieltje naar voren tot het monofilament in positie is.

    4. Controleer of de einden van het monofilament zich uitvouwen door de punt van de schacht van het instrument in de uitgangspositie te brengen.

    KrympningMonyofilamenten som medföljer ACCU-PASS suturskyttel och 10-packet är redan krympta. Om du använder ett monofilament som inte är krympt följer du nedanstående anvisningar.

    Vik monofilamentet på mitten och för in de friaändarnagenomdetenakrympningshålet,märktmedstorleknr1ellernr0,somsitterbredvid hjulen på handtaget.

    Ögla1. Vik monofilamentet på mitten.

    2. Placera monofilamentets vikta ände i hålet på instrumentets handtag. Mata fram monofilamentet manuellt.

    3. För fram hjulet tills monofilamentet fångas upp.

    4. Med hjälp av hjulet matar du fram monofilamentet tills materialet bildar en ögla i instrumentets proximala ände.

    5. Kontrollera att det fungerar ordentligt genom att dra öglan genom spetsen på instrumentskaftet.

    Fria ändar1. Vik monofilamentet på mitten.

    2. Placera monofilamentets fria ändar i hålet på instrumentets handtag. Mata fram monofilamentet manuellt.

    3. För fram hjulet tills monofilamentet fångas upp.
