know Smashed It Dance Company will be a great fit for you and

your family. I am incredibly excited for 2019 and can’t wait to see

what each student achieves.

At Smashed It Dance Company, I pride myself on creating a place

where all children are welcome and can learn dance in a fun,

relaxed and safe environment, while upholding the values that I

see important for young children. Technique and strong

foundations are essential for all dancers, for me, it is far more

important to develop more than a dancer. The programs have a

strong emphasis on the students using their imagination to

develop creative thinkers.

SMASHED IT DANCE SIGNATURE DROP IN CLASSES:DANCE

These classes are highly popular and extremely fun. The drop in dance classes are designed

teach the children simple, repetitive dance moves while being engaging and fun. Although

the classes don't focus on technique, the very basics of technique & gross motor skills

development are evident.

A lot of fun is packed into the 30 mins. The classes start with a warm-up and stretch. Once

the bodies are warm a new dance is taught centred around the theme. The end of the class

is a combination of games, social dances and a review of a previous week's dance. Not to

mention the anticipated surprise at the end.

At this age, not all children will be dancing for the whole 30 mins, and that is completely

fine. It takes a few weeks for majority of children to completely engage.

MUSIC & MOVEMENT

Our Music & Movement classes have been designed for children to learn the elements of

music and gross motor movement through popular children songs and nursery rhymes.

Music and movement helps children discover so much about themselves and the world they

live in. It is one of the many reasons why I have decided to start music and movement classes

at Smashed It Dance Company.

The classes are kept fresh and interactive with a variety of new songs, instruments &

equipment. A lot of song and dancing are jammed into the 30 minutes, which makes it a

whole lot of fun.

With the help of artists such The Wiggles, Justine Clark and many many more. This class

will get everyone in the room moving, grooving and singing along.

The aim of Kinderballet™ is to introduce the basics of Classical Ballet through imagination

and creative movement

Kinderballet™ is a ballet program developed specifically for children aged between 18

months and 5 year olds, as an introduction to Classical Ballet. The challenge with teaching

this age group is to hold their attention while introducing them to basic movement

principles.

At Kinderballet™, the children learn Classical ballet steps and develop basic gross motor

skills through imagery and story-telling. The programs are strongly influenced by current

pre-school education trends in teaching through play.

Why Kinderballet?

Balance - The right balance between fun and learning.

Programs - Specifically developed for preschool children by a former RAD (Royal Academy of

Dance) examiner.

Teachers - Highly qualified and experienced teachers, trained to deliver the Kinderballet™

Program.

Music - Specifically developed to teach our preschool ballet program.

Affordability - We offer an affordable preschool ballet experience - rather than a cheap one -

we don't require expensive uniforms, nor do we coerce you into overpriced end of year

concerts.

KINDERBALLET


DANCEPreschool Combination

The Preschool Combination class is a great place to start as the children get to experience

a range of different styles. The class runs for 1 hour and is divided up into 20 minutes of

ballet, 20 minutes of Jazz/Hip Hop and 20 minutes of tap.

These classes create well rounded dances and give children a chance to find out which

style they enjoy the most. Towards the end of the year we focus heavily on ballet so the

children can participate in the end of year presentation day.

Tiny Tappers

Rhythmic, loud and loads of fun, our tiny tappers will learn the fundamentals of tap dance in

a fun and creative environment. Kids can’t get enough of the sound of tap shoes striking

the floor as a form of percussion.

A lot of fun is packed into the 30 mins. The class starts with a warm-up and games devised

to learn the basic tap steps. Once the bodies are warm the children will learn a simple

combinations to fun and age appropriate music.

HIP HOP

Mini Hip Hoppers is a new program for 2019 at Smashed It Dance Company and I am very

excited to be offering an introduction to Hip Hop for under 5s.

Hip-hop dance refers to street dance styles primarily performed to hip-hop music or that

have evolved as part of hip-hop culture. It includes a wide range of styles primarily breaking

and popping & locking, which was created in the 1970s and made popular by dance crews

in the United States.

Our hip hop program provides a safe and welcoming environment where each student is

encouraged to be themselves and grow with confidence.




SMASH-ABILITYSmash-Ability is a brand new program at Smashed It Dance Company to ensure all souls have

the ability to express themselves.

It is an all abilities dance program designed for children with additional needs. A fun dance

class for EVERYONE! Dance is a wonderful way to build confidence, create new friendships and

develop new skills, not to mention LAUGH. At our dance classes we use games, imagery and

popular music to get everyone moving and grooving.

The mission of Smash-Ability is to provide a safe and relaxed space for ALL students to

develop self-expression, confidence and above all JOY.

PRIVATE LESSONSOpen to everyone, private lessons are designed for students wishing to receive extra

rehearsal or tutoring in any aspect of dance. They can be adapted to focus on any specific

skills that the dancer wishes to perfect or master, ranging from technique to choreography

for solo or duo competition. Private lessons are available as a ½ hr or 1 hr session.

GROUP SESSIONS - PLAYGROUPS/OOSH /PRE-SCHOOLS AND BIRTHDAY PARTIESSmashed It Dance is happy to come to you and provide a fun and interactive session for you

Playgroup, OOSH, Pre-school, Birthday Party any other groups you are a part of.

I have a range of unique packages to suit a variety of celebrations, one off sessions or weekly

lessons.

My most popular package is for 1 and a half hours which includes 45 minutes of face painting

followed by 45 minutes of dance, music and lots of fun.

Group bookings who wish to hold the class at a local hall or studio, may incur a hall hire fee. Please contact me if you wish to learn more as packages and prices vary.



REQUIREMENTS & FEESI aim to keep costs affordable as much as I can. There are no uniforms, enrolment or

administration fees. Currently, the only other fee is for Presentation Day. Not all programs

are involved in the Presentation Day and It is optional. In 2018 the Presentation Day fee

was $40, which included a costume, tickets and a medal for each child.

Your enrolment may vary slightly depending on what class you wish to attend.

DROP IN CLASSES - No enrolment required. Simply turn up at the time of the lesson and

pay $5 and $2 for siblings (only charged when they are walking).
