Step 1 Connect SmartPIT Port 1 to Rapid Eye RS232 Port 1 as shown

Notes 1. RELT and REMM only have one serial port you can connect to, port 1 2. REMMDSP V7 or V8 have 10 Serial ports, you cannot use Port 2 it is reserved for other use 3. REMMDSP V7 or V8 Can use the SmartPIT included accessory “For DVR connector and cables for Port 1 connection on the Rapid Eye only. If the SmartPIT is to be connected to Port 2-10 a custom cable must be created 4.RE units can be configured to connect to one SmartPIT in ATM Mode only, this allows for up to 8 Multiplexed ATM data streams to be received from the one SmartPIT (RE is configured for Netpit connection). You could also connect 8 more SmartPIT’s to the other 8 serials Ports setting the Rapid Eye for POS Device.

Step 3 Program Rapid Eye from Remote View to receive live ATM text

Connect Remotely using View to Rapid Eye with V7 or V8 software

Connect to Rapid Eye, Go to Maintain Tab>Serial Devices Click on the + next to Unassigned Devices to expand the choices , see NetPIT, Click and hold on NetPIT and drag NetPIT to Port 1. Leave IP , subnet, Gateway Blank, SmartPIT does not currently support this Set Baud Rate =19200, Data bits 8, Parity none

Note-The NetPIT device accepts multiplexed data from a SmartPIT set in connected to Rapid Eye mode

Add a Virtual POS for each ATM

Click on the + next to Port1-NetPIT to expand and see letters from A to P (4 channel has A-D, 9 Channel A-I, 16 Channel has A-P) Expand New device by clicking on the + , then click and Hold on POS and drag POS to A, Do this for each ATM Data you will interface to , if there will be 3 ATMS drag POS to A, B, C Click on each Virtual POS connection and assign a device name Note-in this example we have used ATM1Camera1, Video and Text are played back and viewed in separate windows , by identifying the camera that points at the ATM it will be easier for the investigator to know which Camera to view with which ATM

Step 4 Program Rapid Eye to record Text Event Transactions

Boosting Recording Is Not Required Rapid Eye is a record always device unless a schedule is enabled in Maintain>Schedule check Overlay a schedule Rapid Eye can be set to boost the recording rate on incoming text data if required. Boosting recording is typically used to increase the number of Images per second captured when a client performs an ATM transaction. This way more pictures are captured of the client performing the transaction Boosting Recording on text in Procedure Summary of the Procedure you will do Step 1 –Select a Text trigger string or character from the input ATM text transactions that when detected will start boosted recording Step 2. Set an event rule for Each ATMPOS in Serial Devices Step 3. Set the Boosted Rate for the camera in Video Step 4. Configure a Camera schedule if required Step 5 Verify Boosting occurs Step 1 –Select the Trigger String In the below example the Rapid Eye has been set to boost recording on text in on POS connection titled ATMCamera1 When Boosted recording occurs a series of yellow boxes appear above the camera as shown The text from the ATM is shown. We will set the Rapid Eye to trigger whenever any text transaction comes in. We need to identify a common character or string of characters in all transactions to do this. In this example the transaction text always starts with ha Date and time stamp .Ex- 12/05/01 The data values may change but the / character does not so we will tell the Rapid Eye to start boosting recording whenever a /character is detected . We will also tell the Rapid Eye to continue the boosted recording for 5 seconds after the detection of the / character
