SmartFloor ProgramDiversey Care has partnered with Ameripolish: an industry leader in concrete chemical technology, to bring over a century of innovative expertise and leading technology to our customers. SmartFloor is a progressive and continuous polishing program designed to eliminate floor failure and improve appearance on polished concrete without the use of topical coating. SmartFloor brings together combined expertise in construction, conversion and daily and interim maintenance, covering your concrete floor from the initial concrete pour to installation on an existing slab. This advanced system utilizes state-of-the-art polishing, sealer and surfactant technology to strengthen and enhance the concrete, as well as protect against daily traffic and staining.

• Ideal for facilities that perform daily maintenance 5X per weekPolished ConcreteConcrete is made of Portland cement, water and aggregates (rock and sand). Portland cement combines cement and water to form a paste that coats and binds the aggregates in the mix. Water reacts with the cement and provides workability to the mixture; the lower the cement to water ratio, the stronger the concrete.

While defined as a “floor finish”, polished concrete does not come in a pail or box like traditional wax coatings. Instead, it combines a progressively finer grinding and polishing technique with chemical densification. These final polishing steps create the difference between a matte or shine appearance.

Left unprotected, concrete remains soft and porous, leaving it susceptible to staining, etching, scratching and dirt retention. If protected, polished concrete provides cost savings, higher resistance to foot traffic, high light reflectivity, lower maintenance and a longer lifespan than other substrates.

Guard ProgramLike the SmartFloor program, the concrete Guard program combines progressive polishing with chemical application to protect, enhance and improve the life of a polished concrete floor. Using the Concrete Penetrating Stain Resistor, this program serves as an excellent solution for already polished concrete floors that take on heavy wear-and-tear on a daily basis.

Decorative Guard ProgramThe primary chemicals used in the Guard Program can also be used on Decorative concrete. By removing the progressive polishing steps from this program, we protect the investment of the decorative flooring while still providing ample protection and improved appearance. Diversey Care’s Polished Concrete ProgramsPolished concrete floors are continuously abused from foot traffic and equipment such as shopping cart wheels and pallet jacks, resulting in declining appearance and a flat matte look. Diversey Care’s programs provide comprehensive, easy to follow concrete care solutions that can properly restore, penetrate, seal, remediate and protect against stains and normal wear.
