The Smartec design office was founded in 2001 by , the majority partner with 70%, and Russian

engine-maker , with 30%. It has facilities in two cities, both historic centers of the Russian aerospace industry: headquarters in Moscow and a regional branch in Samara, about 1,000 kilometers southeast of the Russian capital.

Smartec is specialized in the design of different types of propulsion systems and power generators, including aircraft engines, powertrain and other rotating machinery. We cover all engineering aspects of these systems, from design and modeling, to development test monitoring and in-service support.

Smartec calls on 150 of Russia’s top engineers to deliver innovative integrated and cost-effective solutions to our customers.

Our staff use proven methodologies and world-class design software to develop solutions keyed to each customer’s specific requirements. They are all familiar with Lean-Sigma precepts as part of our continuous improvement approach. Our staff also have solid linguistic skills: all Smartec engineers speak fluent English and have received training in French, and our sales staff can speak French, English or Russian with customers.

studies, instrumentation, drawing set, publications.
