SMIHost™ - The application – Step 2

SMIHost™ - The application – Step 3

Step 3In fully automatic mode, with no user intervention required, use the Access Control number in the credential to automatically extract the required data from the database.

Automatically re-sizes images from the database to fit on the card.

SMIMobile™ Present the card or other credential to the small Reader module in the PDA, and the card contents are displayed.

Include an optional ‘watch-list’ on the PDA for up-to-date exclusions, or use Wireless communications for a real-time link with the Host.

Record an audit trail of card reads on the PDA for upload back to the Host, and subsequent reporting.

Using iCLASS technology, all data can be held on the card - it is not necessary to maintain a database on the PDA.

This eliminates concerns about loss or theft of the PDA, and reduces the burden of continuous synchronization of data.

SMIProxMobile™ Present the card to the Reader module in the PDA, and display data as required.

Use Wireless communications for a real-time link with the Host.

Record an audit trail of card reads on the PDA for upload back to the Host, and subsequent reporting.

Use SMIProxMobile™ to add mobile security to a Prox-based system.

Download required data to the PDA using SMIHost™, and use the Access Control number on the Prox card to look up and display associated records.
