Challenges in GermanyRe-urbanization

▪ Decreasing population and rising life expectancy

▪ The young, mobile people are moving to the cities, in the countryside the old people are staying behind.

▪ The people remaining in the countryside have to be provided with the necessary services.

▪ In cities, the infrastructure needs to be modernized and made more efficient.

▪ All of this must be done in operation and with limited financial resources.
