WORDS OF WELCOME
Dear canoeing friends, we have found ourselves in difficult times. Despite the fact that majority of this year's competitions has been cancelled, we are delighted to welcome you all in Ljubljana - Tacen at the 2020 ICF Canoe Slalom World Cup race.
The competition will be held under special conditions and safety protocols will be in place to protect the health of all participants in the best possible way. This means that the competition will be held behind closed doors with only limited number of invited spectators allowed at the stands. Tacen is a venue with a rich history. A history of wildwater sport spanning over 80 years has made canoeing one of the most popular sports in Slovenia. This inspires us to invest new energy to this legendary canoe slalom course. We wish to renovate it to become the modern course which can meet the challenge of hosting the world’s biggest canoeing events also in the future. Canoe Federation of Slovenia and the Organising Committee – SLOKA 2020 are delighted to welcome all national teams and competitors to the competition and we hope that the 2020 ICF Canoe Slalom World Cup race held on the slalom course in Ljubljana - Tacen will see excellent competition and memorable sporting moments for your team.
Andrej RibičPresident of the Canoe Federation of SloveniaPresident of the Organising Committee
