The Unit for Urogynecology and Pelvic Floor treats women who suffer from symptoms such as frequency, urgency, urinary incontinence (“dribbling”), difficulty urinating, pain upon urination and recurrent lower urinary tract infections.

The unit also treats women suffering from prolapse of pelvic organs (uterus, urinary bladder, and vagina.)

Women being treated by the unit are usually offered a few investigations to look into their bladder problems (urodynamics, bladder scan, cystoscopy etc)

Patients are usually offered conservative management of their symptoms initially with either physiotherapy for strengthening pelvic floor muscles and/or bladder retraining procedures.
