3.7 Process Water/ Raw water (after treatment) UNDER OWNER’S SCOPE

We understand that the Deaerator is in scope of tkII. We require the Condensate inlet flow, its temperature & pressure to the deaerator, is there a loss in condensate inlet flow and shall be make it up with the DM water? We have considered the Deaerator feed water outlet temperature as 140°C based on the available heating steam at all load constant PT rating -4 kg/cm2(g) and 180°C, (we also note that there are no HP heaters and hence the same temperature is at the inlet of the boiler economizer as well).

No condensate receive/ discharge at Bidder's battery limit is considered. DM water at 40 deg Celsius shall be made available at Battery limit of Steam Generation Plant. Steam Generation Plant shall be designed accordingly only. Amendment shall be issued.

27. PC150/E/4003/Sec VI - 2.0 5 of 7 3.4 and 3.7 Demineralised water .. Process water… We presume the condensate return water temperature at the battery limit is around 89 deg.c. Please confirm

Note-2:- A stream of LP steam of 10 MT/hr shall be made available by LSTK Contractor at theirB.L. for owner use. The specification of steam has been mention in section 2.0 Part-II Technical.

The condensate inlet flow and temperature is required for Deaerator Heat Mass Balance. 2.0 REQUIREMENT PERTAINING TO STEAM GENERATION PLANT

Superheating of H.P. Saturated Steam A separate stream of H.P. saturated steam of 74 Mt/hr (at Normal Flow)from Ammonia-Urea Plant shall be superheated in Steam Generation Plant & will meet the parameters of H.P. superheated steam to be exported to the steam header at the B.L. H.P. saturated Steam quantity may vary from 0 to 82 Mt/hr based on AMMONIA-Urea running status. LSTK contractor to design the superheater coil & boiler control accordingly. 3. DESIGN BASIS AND CAPACITY 3.1 Steam Generation Plant There shall be three (3) boilers (2W+1S) of identical capacity for generation of superheated HP steam of 564 Mt/hr which will be exported at B.L. A stream of Saturated HP steam from Ammonia Plant will be superheated in the operating Boilers. Same shall be made available at LSTK’s B.L. by Owner. Each Boiler shall be capable to superheat additional import saturated steam of 41 Mt/hr from Ammonia Plant. Separate fired arrangement for superheating the H.P. saturated steam shall not be considered. Net output of H.P. superheated steam shall be supplied through a single header at LSTK Contractor’s B.L.

We understand that the total steam requirement (@110kg/cm2(g), 525degC) is 564 TPH, So the individual boiler capacity is 564/2= 282TPH. There would be three boilers of 282TPH with 2w+1s configuration. Regarding the superheating requirement of 74 tph (designed for 82 TPH, with a range of 0-82TPH steam variation), we also understand that this requirement is in addition to theabove 564 TPH, Hence the boiler shall deliver- 282+41TPH =323TPH per boiler with same SOT & SOP. Hence the steam outlet requirement is single. Kindly confirm if our understanding is correct.

For Boiler capacity, Bidder to refer the clause no. 3.1 of Section-VI-4.0

H.P. saturated Steam quantity may vary from 0 to 82 Mt/hr based on AMMONIA-Urea running status. LSTK contractor to design the superheater coil & boiler control accordingly.

Bidder presume that the HP saturated steam is not being recived from the proposed 2 nos 282 TPH Boilers and the steam source is from some other boilers since the operating pressure of proposed boiler and pressure of Staurated steam at battery limit is different. TFL/PDIL to confirm.

H.P. Saturated steam source is clearly mentioned in the NIT. Bidder to follow the same.

62. PC150/E/4003/ VI-4.0 4 of 13 Note-2 Note-2:- A stream of LP steam of 10 MT/hr shall be made available by LSTK Contractor at their B.L. for owner use. The specification of steam has been mention in section 2.0 Part-II Technical.

TFL/PDIL to clarify whether the 10 MT/hr specified in this clause is included in the 564 TPH specified or this 10 Mt/hr is in addition to 564 TPH.

10 MT/hr of LP steam is in addition to the 564 TPH
